Well, in my eagerness to get back into my BKK life, I didn't do adequate research on the board here and wasted a whole afternoon. I travelled from way up in Nonthaburi to Sala Daeng, only to find out what I probably could have learned here on the board: SoL was closed, meaning I was SooL (shite out of luck).
Never to be daunted when on the warpath, I decided to try the next best alternative (in my mind), which is Eden Club. Alas, same result. I'm so disgusted right now, that I took a taxi all the way back from Eden Club and have started drinking to ease the pain.
However, as my man Bill Shakespeare says, the drink will promote the desire yet decrease the performance, etc. I have a feeling I'll be back on the prowl later on tonight. Does anyone know if Nana and/or Cowboy are affected by the holiday?

My commiserations, BrianD.
Nothing worse than arriving at a place full of anticipation to unload and finding the door padlocked.
Happened to me a year or two ago when a Japanese guy had bar-fined the lot of them at 10 p.m. and given them the choice of either going home or accompanying him to a disco and a meal.
The resonating shock of the (non) rabbit chop.
I can feel it now.
But then, it makes you all the more determined to go back the next day and really use the facilities and sewrvices to the full.
But yes, the 30th. July was not a good day for a lot of people. But then, religious observance is religious observance, no matter what line of work you are in. And that has to be respected.
The religious days fell on the Sunday and the Monday, so I would think that most places will be open today ( Tuesday), although some girls might have forked out for the bar-fine themselves for today to make it a worthwhile holiday ( for them), especially since Mondays and Tuesdays are not the busiest days or nights of the week.
As for Nana and Cowboy, I should think they'll be in full swing tonight, so no fears there. Just be sure to make the plans in future in a more informed way. Hard to do, sometimes, I know.
That's the thing about collecting telephone numbers along the way. You may have no intention of making a call, but with unforeseen circumstances and a painful build-up of ejaculate, you never know when a phone number or two might come in handy.

Went to SoL tonight, and it was indeed open. The Prime Ministress was not there, so I opted for a new (to me) girl named Un (I think).
It could have been buildup from a month in Canada, or perhaps the frustration from yesterday's debacle, but this girl worked me over! Again, I almost passed out. I'm thinking I need to go get my ticker checked, but that seems like a very un-26 year old thing to do.
In any case, if I eventually die in the little bathroom in SoL, you will know that I died a happy camper.

Verrrry interesting-- in 25 trips to Bkk and having only visited SOL once- I could never figure why this joint deserved 184 pages---
but after having a fight with my Thai love and sending her home to Ubon- I figured id try it again-
There is something very relaxing about sitting at the bar with a singa- watching two other guys get blown and having MIK deep throat my pee pee-
No fuss- no mess (either emotional or fluid wise) -- for the price of a couple of martinis in NY-

This, I'm sure, is appreciated edenpapa, as is your sincerity and dedication to customer satisfaction.
It's just that I know that the SOL girls are just as committed to meeting the needs of customers as are the Eden Girls and equally committed to respecting Buddhist beliefs and practices alongside their professional ones which are just as sacrosanct.
I have only found excellence in a few places in Bangkok
and the Eden Club on sukhumvit Soi 7/1 and the Star of Light bar in Patpong 2 share the top slot as far as I am concerned.
And by the way marc, it is good to read you are up and about. I hope you are recovering your health and not working as hard as you have done in the past. Cheers.
