Sofa 2 is furthest from the front door, nearest to the backroom door.
Sofa 1 is the first one, nearest to the front entrance door that you can easily fall on if you stumble in half cut.
I have never heard of anyone numbering the bar stools but I have heard that Joe Wood favours one. But then, I would imagine that that is just a positional preference.

I'm aiming to start plenty more, too, with your generous permission, gentlemen, of course. Star of Light is being over-whelmed at times unexpected. Mondays are usually not as busy as the week-ends.
