I was in there only last week and had to step over the feet of three guys who were getting blown on the sofas as I made my rubber-legged exit.
Yes, Mike's Place has bjs as well as FS. The bjs are 800 baht, as opposed to the 700 baht at SOL. And at Mike's the bj isn't in the bar.
Good advert for Mike's Place - next to Foodland, up between the side of the supermarket entrance and the restaurant.
Strange how even rumours of The Star of Light closing down are believed. Don't know where they come from.

But my friend insisted that he and 2 others went into SOL one night, with money in hand, and could not get blown. But they did get blown around the corner in mikes place and yes it was in the bar.

Wasn't sure if SOL was open over Songkran so walked by to say hello as I continued around Silom. I was covered in paste and not a dry inch on my body... very similar to some of the gals working. I make a point of looking into the Star of Light frequently just in case there happens to be a new lost innocence from Sukhothai or Ubon Ratchathani. The girls are always so welcoming.

Perhaps...I still can't see it being my thing or me being comfortable - ok I know other dudes won't be checking me out (this isn't Silom Soi 4), but I'll need a bit of Dutch courage to get my freak on.
I promise you, however, that I will at least visit to check things out. SOL can be my proverbial dragon to slay in BKK. It'd be a nice addition to the "been there done that" list.
