I personally think the average is closer to 10-15 mins.
I think anything over 30 mins requires an extra tip (if not an extra girl or two)
I try to "aim" for 20-25 mins, unless I have taken two, in which case I feel that 30-45 is just fine.
I have on occasion not lasted much longer than 7 mins. Usually right after I have landed.

I would be embarrassed to be sitting there for 30 plus minutes, but it will never happen. I think Quim is about right, I doubt I last more than 5 to 7 minutes from first application of lips.

Well, I enjoy the "lengthening" of my stamina from first BKK handling (usually at Sazanaka) to the final days pop after some 2 hour cycle of mouth/hand/slit/pucker at wherever (usually Tulip). Glory Days!!
My point with Nan is, I repeat, what could a girl customarily expect when they have a customer willing to go "naughty". It's natural selection at work here. Whoever walks through the SOL door, you're not likely to get a first nighter every time, and after that every customer has some desensitivity built up, some palates jaded, and some higher expectations about what constitutes a "peakable moment".

Apparently I shouldn't bring any of Joe's emailed observations into it (I suspect he wants them kept secret for his upcoming bj bar thesis ) but I've sat in Lolita's quite a while fairly often and seen the comings and goings in that time. They do get through most customers surprisingly quickly - and, remember, in Lolita's there's more time spent going up the stairs, unlocking the door, pre-cleaning with the wipes, undressing, post-cleaning, rushing to the toilet afterwards to spit out and dressing again. The average is definitely well under 15 minutes there. 2 to 10 minutes (of actual work) seems to account for the majority, especially in the daytime. SoL may be different, attracting a more hardened crowd. Joe would know more.
The SoL girls definitely keep a good mood much better than most Lolita's girls, never rushing or complaining if you take a long time. So I'm a bit surprised JimmyMac had the problem at SoL, not Lolita's.

I agree. Most customers are like spontaneous combustion, as I was my first few visits. And still can be once in a blue moon, when the mood is right !!! Then I know it's possible to consider round two... But I always warn them... You're going to have to work a bit hard this time na.

Yes, it's surprising the difference in customer bases between Lolita's and the Star of Light, but then one has to keep in mind that they are two entirely different businesses.
Admittedly some guys have have FS on the couches at Lolita's without taking the FS room upstairs, but primarily it is a sucking bar, one pop and the girls are down for the next customer.
The other important difference is that the bar-fine of 400 baht for the girls at the Star of Light is very reasonable, whereas the bar-fine at Lolita's is a joke and is expressly put in place to dissuade punters from indulging in that disgraceful practice. (?)
I wouldn't rightly know, but I would guess that there are more regulars at SOL than at Lolita's. At SOL, you have many options while still in the bar.
And I get the impression that Lolita's cater to the Sukhumvit tourists who wouldn't be seen dead in Patpong, let alone SOL.
As for lasting more than 20 minutes, I think it's only fair to swop to another lady after that time and be prepared for the extra cost, just to let the first lady rest a bit.
I would imagine that most guys generally know how long they are going to take, especially after the first few minutes.
Knowing that you've come an hour or two before, might persuade you to start off with two girls to lessen the load for them.
I was in there only last week and and had taken a considerable length of enjoyable time to complete.
When I arrived at the bar, the spare girls were mildly complaining about this guy seated at the bar with two administrators busy with his pleasure, taking far too long.
40 minutes already.
And as I left, he was still waiting for the girls to be successful and I couldn't help but see his face fixed in some sort of screwed-up frown as he constantly swopped between the two girls, with a look as if he were concentrating in his mind's eye on the most horrid vision in an attempt to delay orgasm. I nearly laughed out loud. I think that technique would destroy half the pleasure for me.
And yes, bars do change all the time, mainly from the changes in the staff. If you have a grim, silent manager it doesn't help at all. The Star of Light is different to what it was and that is down mainly to the girls' personalities and to their mental engagement with the nature of their work.
Maybe animism isn't so deeply ingrained in country and provincial thinking and belief any more.
The other factor is that a team of girls need one or two or even three of its members to be the power-houses, the driving forces of energy that will whip them through their day with pace and humour and care and fun and bawdiness and feelings of being unrestrained by social mores and values, to reach a level of unbridled licentiousness within and around the times paid for, to be successful and memorable.
It's hard enough to bear the heat and boredom, sitting out all day in a low season that should be high, waiting for possibly their first customer of the day.
Come back Nam, Duan, Tuk, Khai,Nok and a few others.

It's all down to recruitment.
To that end, seajohn and I have been discussing a possible foray into the interior to seek out a few of these dynamically liberated personalities of sexual dynamite.
A 53-seater coach has been provisionally hired for the purpose, leaving at dawn on an early May day to be yet determined.
20 seats have to be kept vacant for the return journey, but I do believe that he is selling tickets for the remainder.

Dear Mr Wood (head!),
Thank you for publicizing our recruitment drive for new mouths. Though neither you nor I will get a monetary reward for this effort, the reward we do hope to get is beyond measure in infinite tablespoons.
The coach leaves Mochit station perpetually and will rendezvous with several incoming coaches at this time of year at various gas stations along the upcountry highways, especially those with mosquito filled urinals, which I have never encountered at SOL.
I will be looking primarily through the glass of intuition for happy go lucky candidates with energy bursting through their still wet shorts and T shirts who have exceedingly well developed lower facial musculature and little aversion to foreign delicacies, such as sushi and the prime rib so often celebrated in theoretical Western gastronomy.
I truly believe a star will be born soon, to which magi's from the West will flock, including those who herd sheep from the South.
On a distantly related note, the other night, the last official night of Songkran at about 2am, I had had it to here with my research activities in my rooms. As one possessed, but with intense clarity of mind, I took a taxi to the blessed soi we love. Of course, SOL was closed for well deserved rest and I expected that. My pleasure before I went home again merely consisted of a couple of beers at the nearby Aunty's bar while watching Rabbit douse passerby. I must say, she looked very appealing in wet clothing and after exchanging our informalities, a mental note was made for me to visit her again soon.
