Last Saturday I was in SOL because of my job, but they did a good job in refurbishing the place. ut not a customer in sight.
And the girls were only able to do their job in the toilet. We moved on to the Kangaroo Club, which in my opinion has better looking girls and better facilities. A little more expensive though (THB 800 against THB 500). And you can have a drink without being bothered for blowjobs.

As others have mentioned, I too thought SOL must be a myth. It sounded too good to be true. I read and read and then read some more about SOL, Lolitas, and Kangaroo. SoL seemed to have just what I was looking for, but I was a critic. My first day back in Bangkok, I rose early and got my ticket to the southern island. I had about 9 hours or so to kill, so there I sat drinking beer at an early hour of the day trying to figure out what to do. After a few large changs it was time to check out of my room ---
I departed the skytrain and walked over to Patpong. Not an area I frequent often, as I prefer Soi Cowboy. I wasnt sure where it was, but I found this little hole in the wall tucked back off the Soi. It was one of the only places open that early. I walked in --- wow --- I had a few beers --- I chatted with the girls. I was too shy to ask for a BJ in the bar and opted for S/T room. They offered (with no pressure) for me to take 2 or 3 girls. I declined and took one. 1000 baht and 2 hours later I came out of the s/t room. I can say that she was lovely. The bar is lovely - the girls are nice enough -- they are reasonable -- after I finished up there, I headed over to Lolitas - but that is another story althogether!

I used to frequent Kangaroo bar before I "found" SOL. It's more expensive at 800 B and the girls there definitely don't have the same talent as the girls at SOL.
Of maybe 4 or 5 different girls I had at Kangaroo only one of them would CIM. All the rest would pull away and you'd end up making a mess all over the place. The next time I'd go, I'd said "Do you CIM? The girl last time said she did but she wouldn't" The answer "Yes, of course I do" and when the moment came, she'd pull away too.
It took me one trip to SOL to realize where the quality really was.

I think SOL definitely is a good site for people to visit in BKK and I'm sure the good Doctor has realized this long ago. I've said it's one of the places of interest, great interest (especially when it used to have the semi-circles), like Paris's Louvre. Hope that comparison doesn't offend either the Art lovers or the BJ lovers on the forum. However I know it won't offend the Art of the BJ lovers.
As SirTitus said above. SOL doesn't have an articulate owner, say like Eden Club does, to tell folks this is not really the place just to sit and drink and chat. Not a pub in that sense. Oh, on occasion I've popped in with a friend just to say Hi to some girls I know and buy them a drink, but rarely. There are plenty nice enough normal bars all around that area if that's what people want instead.
