Walked past Lolitas yesterday morning, the girls were still there, having their som tam.

Wow, alba, thats a long time between quality blows.

It's been years since the Lolita's management closed Lolita's down from behind Soi Cowboy, and changed the name of AlleyCats in soi 8 to Lolita's.
For those far away and concerned, yes, the web-site did appear to go down but the girls were still giving quality head ( hopefully not any more to the German mobile photo phone prick who should have more respect).
As for 780 baht being a hard place to beat, you are right.
Lolita's is a good place providing good service with a dependency on quick turn-over of customers throughout the day. It's a place where you can enjoy a blow-job and a beer in privacy and usually peace with piped music and the occasional off-stage whispered grunt from behind the curtains.
However, at the same price, without the curtains, in a far more relaxed, open and laid-back atmosphere, the same and more can be got at the Star of Light in Patpong 2.
To each, his own.

I believe the owner of Lolita's is a farang.
I've seen him a number of times but have never had the opportunity to talk with him.
Some of you must know him.
He leaves the employment and management of the girls completely up to the manager/mamasan.
I don't think he is aware of the scam ( theft ) that is going on right under his nose or at least I hope he isn't. The girls say no.
To be employed at Lolita's ( Bangkok) and to continue to 'enjoy' the privilege of working there, the manager 'invites' every girl to join a 'savings scheme' in which all girls contribute 500 baht per week to the manager's scheme. But it is a 'secret ' shared and not to be divulgded nor admitted, even to the owner/boss, under threat of losing all you money 'saved' and your job to boot.
If a girl has worked there for 15 months, the tidy sum of 30,000 baht is a great threat to ensure compliance.
Unfortunately, when the girl elects to leave for whatever reason, the manager doesn't seem to be able to have the money available for a pay-out, making the excuse of being short of cash and having to begin payments of only a few thousand per month over a protracted period of time, maybe years, unless the girl succumbs to being enticed back to the bar to work, with the 'promise' that when she does eventually leave, she will get it all.
Maybe the owner should make discreet enquiries "by indirection find direction out" and get rid of this sort of theft.
This sort of thing stinks especially when you know that the girl only gets 300 out of the 700 baht for a blow.
If needs must and I have occasion to partake there,I tip the girl generously.
Life is hard enough for these ladies without that sort of exploitation.

I can verify that, though the girls quite like him, they hate the mamasan/manager and a lot who have left have left because of her.
Why the owner wouldn't bother to sort this out, I don't know. Keeping girls to attract the punters in is surely far more important to business than whatever (little) the mamasan does, if anything.

Yeah ! The owner is Australian, has a good business sense, is sharp and friendly and like quite a few other bar-owners plays the good cop/bad cop routine with his employees with the help of his mamasan/manager, retaining the good cop role for himself.
The girls all appreciate his apparent good heart and nature towards them and have little idea that he is in full knowledge of what the mamasan has held over them, although some have a rough idea but it just doesn't fit in with their general perception of him.
Thus, are the tricks of the trade.

I don't know, but I would imagine that any 'good' business man worth his salt, having applied a successful business plan in one place, has no reason to change it elsewhere.

Yes, I suppose not. I will go to Hua Hin in July. Affected by the sea salt air, there is a good chance I will visit this establishment again. If I get along well with whoever helps me, I could find a way to ask. However, a regular there might do better. I have never yet made enough posts on Hua Hin Night Forum (I forget what it's called just off) to be allowed into their frankly sexual section.
