I went to one upstairs by the night market across from the kangaroo bar. They charge you to get in to sit to look to drink to get a massage. Is there one that you can go to that is not so greedy and you can relax and watch some ping pong, razor ECT action? Any help please thank you

This has been answered many times before. But the Kings/Queens Castle Group upstairs bars on Patpong 2 (where the night market is) are cover charge free.
The one I have been to is Queens Castle (I think). Stand at the Silom end of PP2 and walk down the left hand side. It is one of the first ones you come to with touts outside. Wide entrance with stairs and signs saying no cover charge and no rip off. It was about Bt100 for a Singha and there was no cover charge. The usual darts and pussy show. A lot of the girls were pretty rough but a couple were surprisingly cute. Did not get hassled too much.
Worth a visit but IMHO once you've seen one they are pretty boring.

The main road is Patpong I (the market) and that's where the Kings/Queens Castle bars are.
Patpong 2 is the smaller soi where Star of Light and Electric Blue are.
And there was also a Patpong 3. But that was a while ago. It is now Silom Soi 4, the gay area.
Just get the right things right!
BTW Finchy, it must be quite a while that you have been here.... Queen's Castle II (yes, that was the right name) has been gone for at least two years.
The main upstairs Kings Group bars are now Queen's Castle (next to Tip Top Restaurant, used to be called Pussy Galore) and on the right hand side (from Silom) near Thigh is another Queen's Castle.

Apologies Dr Love, you are of course correct. I do get the road names confused and couldn't be bothered checking it. I did write in brackets "where the night market is" so that it would be clear.
The basic facts about the bar etc are still correct and so the original poster should still be able to find it. In view of this I am appealing against being sentenced to the 'Pull The (Wrong) Info Out Of Your Ass' club.

From the "across from Kangaroo" description, this was probably Super Pussy. If they have a cover charge it has been implemented recently... I have not been charged there, although the help are very aggressive about selling drinks. Penthouse (between Safari and Silom) does charge a 300b cover (except to Thais) but this includes 2 drinks so you probably net out about the same. I have not encountered a cover charge anywhere else... the shows are pretty much the same in all these 2nd floor dumps now, depending on how active the cops have been. Sideline and Super Queen (both on PP2) are usually pretty good, and all the Queen's Castles (I, II and III) are ok, and well run so you won't get ripped off. The rest are poor or worse... Cleopatra is awful, and Casanova is a famous con shop where one can get into serious trouble.

Whenever I've had the fortune, be it good or bad, to wind up in Patpong 1 wanting to see something wild, I've always' followed whatever bar Khun Somsak is managing. He is a tall thin Chinese about late 50's. I met him when he was managing King's Garden at that time. After he moved to the go go bars, his places (he's managed a few since then down there) usually had pretty interesting shows such as fire breathing girl or a line of japanese-style singers or a girl pulling a ribbon out of her vagina wrapping it around the poles like a spider etc. The girls in each of those go gos were also many of them naked and crazy, blowing guys on sofas etc, and many would take a guy to the bathroom stall for a sleazy bj or screw. Someone might be intrigued. I've never had a hassle in these places--though I am on pretty good terms with K.Somsak, have stood each other drinks etc. I've barfined a couple from them at some point or other and received good service. I mean, some of are practically screwing you already in the bar. He should probably still be having shows of some kind.
I can't remember the names of each of these places, I am senile, let's see, but the current I think is... I can't recall, it's down alsmost at the end toward Surawong on the right. DeepFile, could you assist me in that knowledge?

If it's the same guy (and the description fits), he is now managing Queens Castle 2. There's a tall, skinny Chinese fella of that age sitting outside with a notice saying no fees, no rip-offs etc. Nice fella. Always seems to be wearing a tie.
And I canfirm that place has all that seajohn describes, and all without ripoffs. No cover charge, 100 baht beers, dozens of naked girls and a fair bit of diddling going on in the corners. I was there on Monday and a farang girl joined the nude girls dancing on stage. Luckily, the farang kept her clothes on.

BTW does anybody remember the Harley Show that used to be on in Super Girls in Patpong - hope I got the bar name right - I was pissed, and it was a few years back - If so is there a thread on this?
