From what I've seen of Thai management, they ARE crazy. Anyway, if they're both women, who knows what forms of petty jealousies would inflame them.
Myself, I would never pay those ridiculous prices. Gads, I was paying lhat for cute and friendly Fillipina and Chinese girls in San Francisco city 8 yrs ago. The inflation can't have wiped it out completely........ Anyway, I diversified here which is better. There are fun places all over Thailand more reasonable in expectation and good service. The Japanese and other tourists can have this kind of cotton picking pricing... A certain kind of wild atmosphere, that's all it's good for in my opinion, that's the fun part (though I think some other Go Gos are more fun and wild).

This is the only service I can think of where advance purchases cost more than last minute impulse buying.

That, I think is true.
But I don't believe there's any hard and fast rule about pricing at Baccara.
I think I mentioned this earlier but, about four years ago, I barfined a girl from Baccara and paid her 3K. It was not negotiated up-front, it was just what I paid her. I think I paid that one more time and, since then, it's been free, except for one recent time, although I always paid her barfine when she was working, and I spent shitloads of cash on drinks and meals for her and all her friends. Sometimes the girl paid for me too, though. The management never treated me as a VIP, in fact they might not even remember me now.
My only point is the girl had a lot of freedom. She went to work across the soi, and came back. She went home for two years, and came back. And she obviously charges what she wants.
Oh, and I just remembered (sorry, I'm drunk), we did discuss this before and when I asked her about fixed pricing, she absolutely denied it. I think I posted that somewhere in here before.

Into "Little Tokyo" (aka Baccara) last night with BK and two other BTFers who shall remain anonymous. Packed, 90% customers of asian descent. Upstairs, they are dancing topless there with no underwear under their skirts. One of the BTFers bought a drink for a very cute 24yo hostess that looked 18-19. Lovely girl, but a few minutes after the drink was bought and consumed, she was gone. Interesting that I saw a girl I took one time 3 years ago. She is about 28 now, and she used to dance downstairs. Now, she is upstairs with a new Japanese-style haircut and a new attitude as well - goes with the territory. 
I had two girls come up to me "Hello, what's your name? Where you come from?", when I answered, each said "you can buy drink for me?", when I declined, both turned and walked away. We headed off to greener and more fun pastures with a little less money in our wallets. Som num naa to us for walking in here. 
The view from upstairs is good, though. Some cuties there!

Baccara has a policy which dictates that the girls cannot sit with a customer if they don't buy them a drink.
If the drink is finished the customer has to buy a new one or she has to move on to greener pastures.
Baccara is a high pressure fast drinking business... Guess why Tequila is the ladydrink of choice.

I like the Baccara atmosphere. ST is still 2,000 plus 600 bar fine. Oiy #64 was pretty and had a nice body, but service was not very good. I would avoid her.

I was in a couple weeks ago. Place was jumping as usual. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get a decent seat upstairs. Ended up taking the schoolgirl with the Yanhee strap ons. Don't know her name/number, but she's pretty easy to spot. Was fully expecting her to bail after the deed was done, but she ended up staying the night which was quite a surprise.
Came back a few nights later and took a seat downstairs. Bought a drink for one of the girls and was spotted by Ms. Yanhee upstairs. Got the evil eye and the slit your throat routine....lovely! Was eying a girl that was already with a customer, and when he bailed I asked the girl I was with if she could introduce. The girl came over, sat down and proceeded to ask me what my name was about 5 times. Had a good laugh and sent her on her way.
Still one of my favorite bars on Cowboy, but the prices are getting crazy. Guess the days of the 1500 baht LT in BKK are long gone.

As much as like the general atmosphere of Baccara, that's why I simply don't go there anymore (that and the stupid BF policy). It's their business to do as they please, and it's my money to spend elsewhere.
