Its a nice place, the entrance is sadly hidden away down some alley and up some stairs.
Girls seemed fun, very hands on, there's some interesting seating, my girl wanted me to go to the 2nd floor of the bar and sit on a single couch with her, away from everyone else, I thought this was were some on-site fun would be had, but there was a farrang, presumably a DJ, half asleep up there, nothing sexy happened and I just didn't get the point of going up there. Girls were friendly, drink prices ok, bar ok, worth adding to your night crawl if in the area.

You can't miss it if you are walking into Patpong Soi 2 from Surawongse Road. The lights from the glass covered bridge will definitely get your attention. The girls are definitely a lot of fun, all bar-fineable, you can use the room upstairs or take them back to your room.

Madfrog and I decided to visit Black Pagoda on Sunday night. BK had recommended it earlier as one of the few places worth going to in Patpong.
As BK mentioned, it is easy to find the right area because the glass covered bridge has many blinking lights. Although it is not easy to find the actual entrance since the sign is very small (at least, the only sign that I saw). Nevertheless, Madfrog immediately saw the sign and up the stairs we went.
The entrance-way is forbidding. Go up one flight of stairs and you are in a dark, unlit landing. No signs as to where to go. A great place to get mugged. We, with no other information and the doors on that level closed/locked, continued up. That's the right choice, as continuing up the stairs got us to Black Pagoda.
We got there way too early, about 8pm. Completely dead. We are the only customers. 2 dancing girls lying around, a server, and someone who could be a manager or DJ. That's it. Soda was 90bt, don't know about MF's beer.
The 2 girls would occasionally get up and dance at one of the 3 plastic poles that overlook the street. I assume you could actually see the girls if you are on the street below, but I am not sure. They are not lit up.
The main floor is more of a lounge than a bar. Several sofas. Not really set up as a go-go, as the girls dance in an area not easily seen from the sofas - and no stage for a lot of girls anyway. Not a bad setup, just different.
One corner of the main floor taken up with the sound equipment. I guess they don't need it for their customers. Upstairs is a larger area that looked like it could be nice. But, once again we were too early and maybe on the wrong night as it was dark and empty. Be careful of the stairway going to the upstairs. At the top is a small half-step before getting to the stairs. Someone a bit unsteady might have a problem there.
Its not really fair for me to talk about ambiance and the like. This place most likely doesn't get going until late at night. It could be very nice with more customers and more girls.

8 pm is way too early. Even some bars in Nana are dead at that time of the night. 9-10 pm would be a better time. I am curious, why didn't you take the lift? My problem is that I normally get there too late...
