I have never been rejected from a Jap club. But to be honest, did not find the girls or the service that much better...
Years back, I was returning from a factory near the old airport. The driver passed a new massage parlor. He stopped and asked if I wanted to check it out.
It was 5:00 in the afternoon, and I was exhausted. I don’t remember the name, but it was brand new and the inside was simply beautiful. I noticed a few stunners walking around (apparently it opened after 6:00) and I asked to speak to the boss.
I introduced myself, and gave him my business card. Even after a long day I was in pretty good shape and surely better dressed and presentable than most Thais at that time of the day. I told him how impressed I was with his place, and wished him luck. I then asked what time he recommended I come back to get the best choice of ladies.
He blushed a bit, and in a down voice said to me that this establishment was not open to 'farangs'. I was more curious than insulted, and asked why? He responded by saying that many Thais believed that the aids virus came from the WEST. That Americans especially, were carriers. That the girls were very "clean" and healthy, and would only have sex with a Thai man.
This blew the sox off me. Most Thai men that I knew were fuc***g everything that moved and I mean everything. I did not argue with him, but walked away a little less haughty about my roots.

Of course many J clus are in no better shape than some bars/gogo in the usual red light districts.
Some even have only ugly (sorry for them) girls.
But the good ones are on par with G clubs in terms of quality.
I guess you went to the not so good ones...
Never been rejected anywhere, no matter if Thai place, Japanese place or Korean place.

You are right! Overall, I tend to go to "good" G clubs. I believe in quality. I would rather go out two nights versus four nights; but spend (or even waste as some of you might think) my money, on nicer places. I agree that the beauty and ability of the girls might be the same in a dive and a well appointed establishment; but I prefer for the time I spend in relaxation -- to live out my fantasy accordingly.
I still find it a bit strange that intelligent people really believe that Westerners are "TOTALLY" responsible for spreading H I V? Or are they also living in a fantasy world???

A board member asked me why I came to like Japanese places?
Just that a few years ago I met two young Japanese expats almost my age.
These guys were great fellows, spoke excellent English and good Thai.
After meeting them (outside the nightlife areas) a few times I was puzzled by the fact they were always with girls whom I rate 9-10 (and I am picky).
Curious as I am I of course asked where they found these girls...they came from Japanese clubs.
Since then, I have been "investigating" the subject.
Was very happy to find some places where you can get girls of the same quality as in G clubs but up for the fun.
(compared to quite a few G clubs girls who need some work to get)
Although not cheap, some of the J clubs girls are not more expensive than models in top MP and IMO better looking than most models.
Of course these gems can be found only at a few good J clubs.
Learned that top J clubs girls move a lot from one club to another, the J clubs having consistently the best girls are either the established ones with a big turnover or the new ones.
Of course, except these top J clubs -> you always have the ones getting "newbies", very beautiful girls but new to the business...
(and there is one specific club specialized in "new girls")
