My buddy & I were brought to Hollywood Nights (the place next to Dance Fever) by our taxi driver. He classified the place as a "discotheque", but we were seated way in some corner away from the middle section, where only native Thais were allowed to sit, & the place was anything but a danceclub, or the type of "discotheque" I know. We just sat there watching some live show of performers, singers & dancers, & there really was no action going on as far as available women except for 2 Russian tourist chicks who were seated next to us by their staff (who approached us but we weren't interested). We left there after finishing the beers we got as part of admission, & then walked around the area to see what the other places had to offer. I didn't see 1 other non-Thai in the area, & we stuck out like sore thumbs (both of us are Korean dudes from the US). I didn't get a good vibe from anyone in the area either. It was as if they resented the fact that we were hanging out there. So we left for more familiar stomping grounds in NEP & Soi Cowboy.
Anyone else get the same feeling walking around this area, or was it just a bad night for us? There seemed to be a few cuties standing outside, but none of them even acknowledged our presence as we walked by (& not to try & sound cocky, but we're both pretty good looking young dudes, so I don't get why we didn't get any vibes from anyone there).

I've had some great nights at Dance Fever and Bali (just opposite). Although it's 95% Thais I've always felt very comfortable. I've always gone there with Thai friends but I've wandered off many times to chat and drink with some cuties. The only problem in these places is fighting off the toilet masseurs!

I think that the area is for young Thais, and they will look askance at farang on the hunt. If you take your own honeys with you, it can be a fun place. Many of the girls there work in the MPs in the area. They often go there just to have fun, and deliberately pretend that they do not sell their pussies. They sell their pussies in the MP. Not on the street. Not in a disco. Certainly, there are exceptions.
Hollywood is a Thai format disco. Which means that you dance at your table. Not in a central area.
For a couple of Korean gentlemen, I think that Mirage MP or even Claudias makes more sense. At least you know why you are there, so do they, and there is no confusion on that score. Your presence there is not unusual, as it can be in places like Hollywood. The Mirage MP is, I think, the premier MP in the Ratchada area, though you can also spend a bundle in the Asian format lounge, handing out a fortune to the "lady singers," the wait staff, and the captain, in exchange for flattery and fawning.
Claudias is a G-Club. Many, many hot girls there. Best bet is to just buy a bottle, and then talk to the captain there. He speaks good English, and will explain the rules of the establishment.
These alternatives offer a more upscale experience, not so crowded, smaller, and they are both packed with gorgeous women. Women who are there to work, whether they are selling their pussies outright, or are there to provide companionship and company (with no guarantee of sex) for a price.
If you are looking to hook up with "regular" Thai girls who are not perhaps full-time professionals, I think that Pump Up, another Thai format disco across the street, offers better prospects.
Just about any other place that you go....CM2, Glow, Titanium, Hard Rock Cafe, Q Bar, et al....the odds rise steeply that the girls that you meet are at least part-timers.
Just my opinion, based on my experience.

Ratchada was definitely alot more clean cut & straight-laced in appearance than the somewhat seedier areas like Nana, Soi Cowboy & Patpong. There seemed to be many everyday seemingly upper middle class Thais going about their business, which seemed a step up from the ones I saw walking around the Sukhumvit area. But for some reason, I felt much more comfortable walking around Nana where all the other foreigner degenerates were hanging out. Lol.
What places would you recommend in the Ratchada area for some very hot Thai girl action? I've already been to Poseidon & I had the Model Club experience. The girls there were pretty cute for the most part, but not exactly what I would consider to be topnotch on the hotness meter. Some of the dancers in Hollywood Nights were really top notch, but they were performers & there was no way of interacting with them at all because they were backstage. Is there a club or bar where you can go to find some really hot girls? I'm not talking about average run of the mill level chicks that you can find working any beer bar. I'm looking for something on a higher scale. Any suggestions? Are the girls at Emmanuelle or the other better MP's any better than the ones at Poseidon?

You make friends with the security guys, and ask them to ask the dancer of your preference join you when her set is finished. You hand the man a couple of hundred baht, (I usually pass across a 500 baht note, because I am a generous bastard, and because I can), and voila: your girl materializes.
You are then on your own with her.
These are not P4P girls. They are dancers, they are beautiful, and they are up on that stage because they are beautiful, and because others think so, too. So you have that to deal with. You cannot just ask "tao lai?" and expect to receive anything but a smack in the chops. It would be very insulting.
You treat the girl with respect and dignity and you get to know her. If things go well, you can ask her if you can call her. Thai girls are quite liberal with their mobile numbers, in my experience. Depending on how things are going, it may be a bit aggressive to ask her out on a date right then and there. It might be better to just have fun, and enjoy yourselves, and then give her a call the next day. Take her out to lunch, or dinner, or a movie, whatever.
I have met some of the most staggeringly lovely girls who were way out of my league in this way. At least, I thought that they were out of my league.
Turns out, that I need to recalibrate my opinions of myself.

Dancers from Hollywood are indeed sexy. However I've always been with a group of Thais going there, Dance Fever, or Excite, or any of the "Tech", as Thai call them. The shows are sexy or funny, very loud. And in some of them late at night the groups of girls that go and drink whisky and dance can get quite friendly. However, it's not like Nana disco or something--more courtship generally involved as the gentlemen imply above.
