Stayed there when it was just open back last Jan.. Grotino full..
Room very well equiped but as said a bit small
I had girls back on afternoons and sometimes more than one at a time.
and girls longtime in the night.
at no time did they ask for a joiner fee.. and the charge was only 1900 baht/night.
staff where good room clean no probs
but if they are looking to enforce a 800 baht joiner fee that is crap... and I hope they suffer.. but they did look like they were aiming at the Japanise market hnce the eatery next door.

Why not using the Grottino?
At the published rates I would always prefer it. As the GF policy seems not consistent...it is a HUGE turnoff when bringing back a TG at night and you have to start arguing with the hotel reception.
I hav ealways been 100% satisfied and I like the fresh bread in the morning...

Actually Grottino's where I normally stay and ended up booking my reservation. Only reason I looked at The Key was because it was only 1490b on WOTIF and Latestays. I love the Grottino and they have a deal where you stay seven nights and get one free.
There are many less expensive new hotels that have popped up on Suk the last couple of years but Grottino is very convenient for me for the MRT, BTS and Soi Cowboy. Also enjoy the walk at night down Suk to Nana.

This place sucks.
Stayed there one night. It is one of those places where the pics look a whole lot better then reality.
Bathroom is like a wall closet, and there is not even enough room for a normal size sink.
No view, and if you are on the south side, you will be right next to the security guy blowing his whistle at the gate of the parking garage.

Well, the place is actually adequate. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Absolutely girl friendly. No issue whatsoever. If you book in advance, rates are reasonable.

I stayed there for a few days last month and they are girl-friendly. Decent hotel, just the small bathrooms are annoying.
