I've stayed at them both 6 or 7 times, using up Starpoints, of course. I love the direct access to your room from street level at the Sheraton (avoiding the lobby). The double elevator trip at the Westin is a bit of a pain, otherwise the rooms are pretty much identical. I like the Meridien Athenee quite a bit as well. It's got the best pool of the 3 IMO, and it's close enough. wj

If access is important; try the Hyatt Erawan. This hotel has easy entrance from the street (via Spasso entrance), and one can go straight to room and all facilities via this route. Usually closes around midnight (then you must use regular Hotel entrance), but still one elevator bank gives you full hotel facilities. They have a great staff, and of course Spasso after 10:00 is a well known pick up bar/resturant. Five stars*****.

Have been shopping around for hotels, have a trip planned for early June.
Sheraton have offered me an airline employee rate of 2500 baht plus taxes. No joiner fees and no other perks. This is in the standard deluxe room. Is this a great price or am I missing something? Landmark has offered me 4600 taxes in but single occupancy. I am playing the 2 against each other to see what deal I can get but 2500 for Sheraton Grande seems incredible. Anything I need to know about the standard rooms there?

Auto: You're getting an unbeatable price. It's a great hotel and a no brainer. I've never seen it so low, $120 or less on some of the wholesalers. It's hardly worth using Starpoints anymore. They want 10K or 4K and $60. wj

Autosweep, how much do they charge for breakfast at SGS ? Yes, 2500 seems to be the regular industry discount rate and a very good deal for this great hotel. Landmark seems a bit overpriced.
