Just staid here last friday night. A little hard to find as Soi 17 was blocked off for road works so the only entrance is via Soi 19. No sign yet for Hotel, look for the Swiss Restaurant!
Rooms were great, very clean and a good size. Hotel is very guest friendly, no problem with bringing back two TG's!!! Breakfast was excellant for 100 Baht!

Will be heading for BK 10th of July.
I will order my room at this place. Only second time in LOS, so I would be glad for some confermations on my plan (good?).
About 3 week stay.
1. Book 7 nights at Grottonio.
2. Head up to Pattaya.
3. Head back to BK (depends on Pattaya, I guess).

I am just staying at the Grottino for 4 nights. The hotel is offering nice rooms that are clean and quiet. The internet connection works fine with my laptop, but is terribly slow at some times, specially at night. Everything was already said about this place, so not much to add from my side.
I will certainly stay here again for short stays. For longer stays, I gprefer to use the bigger hotels because I eventually like to use a fitness gym or a nice pool for a change.
Daniel answers email requests very quickly unlike i.e. asiatravel who let you wait a day or two before they get back to you.

Here comes a stupid question (sorry for that). I booked the Sheraton via priceline. As everyone knows there won´t be a breakfast. The front desk told me, that I can pay 560 Bath and eat there. I guess, this is a big amount. Is it possible to eat breakfast at some near hotels i.e. Grottinos? Please advise.
Just 6 days left here in Neverland.

Yes, you can eat wherever you want. There are many choices of places to eat breakfast or any other meal. Some people don't get up early enough to eat breakfast anyway.

A lil' tip for those of you planning on staying at SG for the first time...
ask for a room with an odd number. Odd numbered rooms are bigger. The downside is that they face the car park, however, even numbered rooms do not have a great view either but get more sunlight.
Just checked in again for the second time last nite & changed rooms, bigger room is well worth it.
Also, food at the hotel is excellent. We dined there the other nite & had the steak which was superb & came with all the trimmings plus a great fresh leaf salad with caeser dressing & loads of that gorgeous pumpernickel bread from their bakery. My mate ate thai & was suitably impresed too !
It just gets better & better....
