Balconys, a little too tempting when you want to end it all, just imagine, out of the Landmark on the 24th floor balcony, and finish up in Nana Plaza, not sure which GoGo you'd hit though..

I've stayed in most categories of rooms at the Landmark (Club and Lifestyle floors as well as junior and executive suites) and never had a balcony. With the possible exception of the Presidential suite, I doubt any room has a balcony, but not 100% sure.

Thanks chaps, seems my fetish for a bit of private outside space on a high floor with a great view and a large luxury pad with a seperate shower and close enough to the action and girl friendly and a good price......."guess I am not that picky"............means a platinum suite at the President solitaire or back to Center point (but no individual shower)...........unless anyone has any other ideas??
Why cant I be happy with a Nana Hotel room??,maybe a case of hoping the young nubile I drag back will be so impressed by the surroundings she will not notice the paunch and liberal amounts of grey hairs and my obvious salivating at the carnal feast awaiting me!!

I don't believe FastFreddy that the grey hairs at the Nana will turn off your nubile lassie...that's in your mind not her's.
Frankly the idea of sitting out on a highrise hotel balcony in the midst of BKK is a bit weird... and does not appeal to me given the local air quality. This is only worthwhile if you happen to be a the Shangri-la or another hotel along the river.

The Emporium Suites feature rooms with facilities comparable or better to the Landmark, plus balconies. During my stay a few eeks ago, I was on the 34th floor. My TG liked to sit on the balcony, I was less enthusiastic. To me, it was just a panoramic view of urban sprawl.
On shorter visits to BKK, three or four nights, I stick to the Landmark because it's within very easy walking distance of everything I care about, the attitude of the staff is fantastic and my TG as well as her friends love the various in-house restaurants/cafe/pub/bars. For a longer stay, I prefer the Emporium because of the kitchen facilities and extra space as well as the convenience and variety of the stores at the Emporium shopping center. Prices at the Landmark/Emporium are about the same, since both usually feature specials.

Thanks for the info on the Emporium suites, I,ll take a look at the web site.
Might just book the Landmark for a night or so then take a wander around and have a look at the apartments that I fancy at my leisure.

Fresh from Bangkok and stayed at the Landmark Hotel. No balconies (at least in my room), but like others said, the hotel is great. Absolutely girl-friendly, great customer service, very nice rooms (I like the urban sprawl panorama), good (but expensive) buffett breakfast - unfortunately, it wasn't included in my rate. Rooms can be gotten for as low as US$100 which is very good value IMO.
Location-wise, it is a 3-5 minute walk from NEP, and very close to other places such as Lolitas, Darlings, etc. Also two minutes away from the Nana BTS station.
You can't go wrong with this hotel.

Talking of girl friendly, I'd like to get friendly with some of those Landmark girls in the Club lounge. They are HOT! I tried once but didn't get past first base (I think she'd seen me with too many other TGs throughout my stay).
Anyone succeed?
