A couple of post here hinting at cheaper monthly rates... Thinking about staying in Emporium this summer.
How much should I expect to pay for a one month stay in basic suites as well as exclusive ones?
Besides I just received a letter from meritus Suite general manager regarding the disagreement and precipitated check out last time there. Will try to know what their guest policy really is and will keep U guys informed ( I really miss that balcony... great place to stay if U hace much to do n the Silom area)

2004 trip and rates....."Emporium Suites for a month from 15th May to 15th June. I have booked a studio super deluxe (80 Sq.m) on 37th Floor, for you. The specail room rate for a return quest is 75,600-baht/month including ABF, Maid Service, linen change, electricity, water supply, newspaper and high speed internet."
Baht 2520 daily...really a good deal.

Cash is the best payment option. There is an additional charge for credit cards. Pay for rental charges at check-in, use credit card as guarentee for incidentals, then settle incidental charges in cash at check-out. Considerable savings on a stay of one month or more.

one more report about Emporium Suites,another compilation of two posts. Some fire in this thread, and a question to the guys who stayed in bigger rooms: do the bigger rooms look much more spacious, and get shower + bath bathrooms? anyway:
hummmm... staying in Emporium a the moment... but that's because Natural Ville and Mayfair are fully booked this week. Emporium basic studio is rather classy but looks much smaller than 65 sqm (perhaps from the rather useless corridor ??) plus the bathroom is strongly lagging behind 5stars standards. Should be better in bigger suites though but they are fully booked as well.
Personnally I prefer staying in the langsuan area, so Emporium isn't that much of an overexciting choice.
Tell ya something good about Emporium: Study corner with broadbang internet access, sided with floor to ceiling wall wide window looming over Bangkok chaos and a fridge loaded with various kinds of beers on the other side. Feels good to stay inside the room...
On a low note they tried to charge me 4 ( out of 7?!?) days of internet connection... at 500 bht per day !! Very steep especially that when I enquired at the reception upon check in the guy told me to just connect my laptop to the wire... Guess they received several complaints already and cancelled the fee straightway.
Now I'm back NV, and rather satisfied
About the Meritus, received an e-mail half clarifying their guest policy. Not a bit satisfactoty and I'm done with that place.

Definetly recommend, the worst part in those rooms are the pics on internet. Looks better inside, with actually windows all along the walls. Nice view over Bangkok which U don't get across the street in Mariott.
Ask specifically for Lumpini or at least Embassy view, the side on lang Suan beeing sadder and darker.
75sq m suite, very clean, with basic furnitures for a high end place. guest friendly. No room service though which is boring sometimes but the night staff will be glad to get some drinks to your room. Got a 3350 corporate rate but not sure how much it's advertised on the net.
Rates might keep on gooing up as they're fully booked and they start refusing people who show up at the counter for short stay booking
Checked all Mayfair, Emporium and NV this summer and find NV as having the best value

Sorry AP that you could not find the Emporium large studio available......has separate shower and bath. I was also easily amused by the fridge that opened in both directions.

Now I am worried about availability for me. Definitely feels like home with excellent views.
