Stayed 4 nites last week and found it excellent. Both Peter & Daniel very hospitable and the rooms are well designed and appointed. Very restful.

Yep, happend to me too. Filled out the reservation form and except for an automatic reply that promised me a reply within a day, I didn't here from them in two days. I asked for a confirmation by email (residence@grottino.com) and got a reply the same day from Daniel. Everything cool.
I'll post a FR after my trip (mid june).

seems to become a hangout for BTF members.
anyway, it is worth it.
they were 4 singaporian guys, wanting two rooms. "can we bring visitors, too??"
apparently no problem.
and the first guy got robbed last night. stoopid him. he did not use the inhouse safe.
daniel asked me to tell this.
there is always a security there and you can use him. he will collect the ID card of the girl, if you want. and before she leaves he will make sure you are okay.
as they say, up to you!!

Did the girl steal from the guy or did she actually rob him (like at knife point or something to that effect) ? I think if the guy was robbed, keeping valuables in the safe would not make any difference.

I've been trying to book a room there but they dont answer my email. Are they booked solid or something?
Also, they say you have a private entrance. What does that mean, is it like a motel or an apartment where your entrance opens straight out into the street? If so, is it noisy? Is there a tight seal under the door? I know in Mexico there is a 1/4 inch airspace under the front door so you hear everyone and everything that goes by. Is there still construction going on all hours next door?
I really wanna try this place!
