Howdy folks,
Total newbie here to this website and to travelling to BKK. I thought I would do something different than most newbies on their first post and provide information rather than asking questions.
I emailed Mr. Winkler last night asking about the Bangkok Tonite promotion and he promptly replied stating that the promotion will end in October.
I'm extremely impressed with this hotel and their faciliites and will probably reserve a room there for my trip in November. Even at a rate of 1700 baht per evening, its location and facilities sounds like a bargain to me.

The place is good, its fresh but rooms are a little smaller than comparable hotels but still OK. The best part is the private entrance to the place. 1st and 2nd nights I was there they had a security guard at the door, but after that didn't see him again. Don't really know why they would need one anyway.
If you book? Make sure you confirm and confirm and confirm. The biggest complaint about this place is that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. As said, make she you get Daniel to CONFIRM and take it with you.

And to be on the safe side, you may want to CONFIRM your reservation with the hotel at least 2 weeks before you arrive.

Pool not really necessary. More concerned about decent price but with a nice room, comfy bed and nice bathtub for soaking after a long day of walking!
Any traditional massage to recommend nearby? And how far is the walk to the nearest bts (I think asoke), a few mins?

Have a wonder into the foot massage place in the basement of Robinson (corner Soi 19). After a hard day walking about Bkk it's really nice to have your tootsies rubbed with some nice smelling oil, sip a ginger tea and plot what your gona get up to later that evenin'.

No bath-tub, at least not in my room. The bed a bit too hard for my preferences.
When you go outside the hotel into Soi 19 there is a massage parlour at the opposite side. Tried it. Very good massage. I was asked if I liked happy ending - but I declined. A massage is a massage.

Just a few minutes from SG you find 'Chuvit Chiva' spa. Very nice atmosphere and decent massage. A bit further away, on soi 23, there will soon be a reopened Spa and Massage salon under the name Elysium. Worth a try.............
