I can also recommend Chivit Chiva Spa. It's on Soi 19 itself. Just walk down Soi 19 away from Suk' and it's only about 50 meters (almost 50 yards if yer Amerigun) on the right side of the road. A great wee place, perhaps a tad expensive.
If you try the foot massage (the one in Robinson's basement) first you can pick up a discount voucher from them that you can use in the Spa.

Just checked out after 20 or so days and was very happy overall, just 2 problems internet very poor some times, I use MSN messenger to chat to my team in the UK and some times kept dropping the connection between messages and web pages very, very slow if I see that bloody proxy server message again I will scream 
Also I offer a challenge will some bro take on the challenge of putting a smile on the bar managers face, she is well unhappy and grassed me up to my girl that I big butterfly

OK, I've lived in this hotel for over 14 days and believe I got a fair price. Did not look over my bill that carefully.
But the math does not add up that well here:
Stay 3 days get the next free
Stay 7 days get the 2 next free
What about stayin 2 x 3 days? Wouldn't that get me 2 free nights?

My bill seemed right, just simple every 3rd night free thats all, 500B for laundry very reasonable to me. worked out at something like 1.1K per night which that place is well worth it

I never went in the bar/restaurant but it surely can't be much harder than getting a smile out of the sour old Nana Hotel receptionist's face, which I once did. (I also once got a round of applause from the security guard there for walking in at 5 in the morning with 4 very presentable girls on my arm - my proudest achievement in Thailand!)
It's funny the way previously frisky girls change once they see you in your true colours, isn't it? Even with 7/11 cashiers, you see it. And the Grottino cleaning girls used to flirt with me until the first time I let a lady stay. (Afterwards, I realised that I'd left the used condom on the table for them to pick up while I was surfing in the same room... Oops! )

Well, that was my bill as well. About 1.1k per night. So I guess that is it.
But I guess it would be: Every 4th night free.
My point was: Why make a simple thing more hard to understand (and even wrong). The owner confirmed this when I mailed him about it: 7 nights, get 2 nights free.

This is a loooong reply, but worthwhile if anyone is intending to stay at this hotel.
The special rate is, as confirmed by Daniel in email is:
Stay 2 nights and the third night is free.
Stay 5 nights and get sixth and seventh night free.
While the above may be true, I was however overcharged. This is where my previous left hand/right hand comment came in. I should explain:
From previous post I knew I had to confirm my registration with the hotel. I specifically got Daniel to email me back (3 weeks before arrival) confirming 2 rooms for the specific dates.
Arrived at the hotel at about 1.30am and the place is open but Daniel had left. Advised that no booking is registered in my name and that the hotel was full. The owner was there and he went about trying to find out why our rooms (two) were not available. Told him I had an email confirmation and when he came back he said he saw the confirmation on the computer, but the rooms were all full.
Were told that they could ring around and find another hotel. This isn't a good thing to hear at 2.00am in the morning. Explained my reservation about not wanting some sh_thole nor wanting to pay high rate because we are booking in at 3.00 am in the morning.
At one stage there was a bit of the "shrug the shoulders" attitude of, "well what more can we do for you". Told them that I was not happy and that I would let people know about it, but didn't mentioned the forum.
There was a change of attitude and the owner told us that there was one room available for tonight only and we could have that (shared) free of charge but we would have to be out in the morning as it was booked.
We take the offer up and atabout 2.45am we are shown the room. The reason it was vacant because the front door couldn't be opened with the swipe card and only the master card would work.
Anyway, in the morning Daniel was there and explained how the mixed up occurred (Some other guy didn't confirm the rooms, but he left the rooms in his name). Said we could stay for free, but said we weren't after a free ride, but would want last night free.
Anyway, to the point (but the previous was relevant for the context of the whole circumstances).
We stayed 4 days. First night was free (mix-up) and that leaves 3 nights. On the discount for btf, that should meant 2 nights - ie: $3,000 baht. The bill was for 4,500 but Daniel was not there and the girl had limited english and I just couldn't be bothered to try to explain it so I paid, because on my return from Pattaya I was going to stay there and I would just speak to Daniel then about it.
Now on my return from Pattaya, the day before I leave I get a call from the taxi guy "Mr Michael" confirming that I was leaving Monday. I said no, I'm leaving Sunday, tomorrow. Hear this pause and ohhhhhh and he tells me that he is booked tomorrow and can't pick me up. I replied, well this was OK when you dropped me off over a week ago. I specifically remember the conversation and agreement of date as I told him I wanted to stop at the weekend markets in bkk (which is only open Sat or Sun).
I get me ooooohhh'ing going on and say, OK your in a spot, ring Daniel up and tell him I'm staying one more night in Pattaya and would check in on Monday. He thanks me and I tell him again, ring Daniel and let him know what is happening. The reply I gat is "Yes, I ring him now".
I didn't think this would be a problem as I was staying three nights and would only have paid for two nights (actually one night with the overcharge of the first stay). So for the hotel, they wouldn't have been out of pocket for me staying in Pattaya one more night.
Taxi picks me up on Monday and I asked him if all was OK with Daniel. He said "yes, rang Daniel and tell him you stay one more night". Then shortly after he rings hotel and there is Daniel explaining to me that as I did a "no show" yesterday, they gave the room to someone else..... Of course I said Michael called you to explain what was happening and he said no, didn't hear from you at all. I say, OK, I'm on my way to the hotel and will be there in 2 hours, I will see him then to find out what what was going on as of course I'm not impressed the second time around to hear (sorry, there are no rooms available).
Get off the phone and ask Michael AGAIN did he ring the hotel and he said yes yes yes. Told him Daniel said he didn't and he had no explanation/reply to that. I said, we will find out shortly.
Get to the hotel and guess what, NO DANIEL!!!! Told that he went out, but he KNEW I was coming and when. Don't bother with the whole thing and collect something that I had left there and left to go hotel searching. Found another hotel at 1,900 baht a night (Michael said 1700 - no joiner - which of course was an issue when bringing the girl back as they had put down as a single. They wanted joiner fee and told them to stick it. The compromise was to up it to a double for 200 baht extra a night. Tried to telephone Michael about this but get blank responses and a "no understand" attitude).
I believe that the taxi guy didn't ring Daniel, but that doesn't explain why Daniel left when he knew I was coming. The other thing is that Mr Michael is the card Daniel gives you when you ask for a taxi (read this on recommendation in an early post in this thread) and Michael explains how they are friends and all (I also get a lesson on what "friendship" a thai friend gives you - but sorry I won't expand - but lets just say I have been meaning to look up this word in a thai dictionary).
Even though the above happened, I would go back to the hotel and stay again (the only other issue was the two rooms I stayed in, the hot water ran out after about 3 minutes...... : ( ) but at the discounted rate offered to btf members. Reading the post that this will finish come Oct/Nov, I may look around for another hotel.
Anyway, not going to bag the hotel too much, it is nice and fresh and love the private entrance and the current btf discount makes it hard to ignore.

I don't think so, as there are other posts in this thread that have said there were problems. I know that you may be defensive about the hotel as you "discovered" it, but are you suggesting that they didn't happen??
But to answer your question, no these things don't normally happen to me.
Will you still be getting the discount after it ends in Nov, RTB??? Be careful RTB, you might get associated to SG, like BigDusa has to FLB
