the two guys that run the show are good friends of mine.
we hang out.
after 15.10.04, the new price will be baht 1'700.00, but for this price you will get 5 upgrades.
being it a DVD player, a better internet connection. things like that might be an option.
also it will prevent hickups and overbookings, people having to change rooms or even hotels who want to extend their stay...
but its not written in stone as of yet.

I don't see how up'ing the room rate to 1700 per night will decrease the hiccups and double bookings - unless it has the effect that demand will decrease.
I would have thought that it would be logical to get things running right before even the consideration of increasing room rate.
BTW - why do the 5 upgrades?? Seems that things are working well enough when you consider price verses any hassles.... As I said in my post, I would still go back there, but only at the special rate.
I have been in hotels with dvd players and don't use them. Can waste my time watching dvd's when back home....
Spend the money on a decent hotel room booking program and keep the prices down. Value for money can never be beaten.....

My experiances there have been good but you must remember this is a very small Hotel with only 20 something rooms. Its very personal (good thing, even my TG likes the family like atmosphere) but with a small staff it means sometimes things we take for granted in a big Hotel don't quiet happen.
I arrived 5 hours late one night after my plane was delayed, I sent them a message and my room was still there & available even though a friend of the owner was there offering double for my room! He even offered me 5K!!! At 1.30 in the morning the last thing I wanted was to move Hotels!

Ring the Bells
If Isee's travails are anything to go about, I think we better Ring the Bells for this Hotel SG. No visitor worth his salt will be interested in getting hassled after a long flight to Bangkok at 1.30 AM early in the morning !!!. And Isee is not the only person to have suffered like that !!!
Though I had excellent service when I stayed in Majestic Suites in my last sojurn, I was in two minds whether to book this hotel my next trip (in October), but I think now I safely will go with Majestic Suites !!!
If this hotel has to get any good name Service is the watch word and I see poor service all the way !!!
So, lets better Ring the Bells for this Hotel Swiss
