But don't you feel complaints if part of the concerned Hotel thread will give a more realistic picture about that place?
Well I make no rules, just suggesting guidelines.
I'm sure some of these things overlap. The trick is balancing the issues out. For example, one can initially still post complaints or problems in the Hotels section, but when it starts getting out of hand, or out of the hotel's specific thread, then please go to 'complaints'.

Well lets see Thai people are just chomping at the bit to work at the JW Marriott in BKK. Why let's see:
1. Most days off for employees of any hotel chain.
2. Very Good pay.
3. Give the power to make small decsions always in the customer's behalf.
4. Pool all 10% service charge and split amoung staff.
They have the positive reinforcement attitude that reflects in the nice attitude given to the hotel's guest's by them.

Assume the House keeping forgets to remove the used condom in a room in JWM and the room is alloted to another person? What happens when the complaint is received? The concerned employee and the supervisor will go for a six. Now you know what whip I was talking about.

Any city will have good and bad hotels. You mean to say there no bad hotels in Bkk?

see my originnal posting. All that RTB replied to Isee is he had all sorts of bad luck. Should he have not said he will take it up with the Grotino management so that they improve their service? (please note that RTB is a self professed good friend of management). That's what irked me. Because most of the guys land up in places because of suggestions given by we fellow BTF members.
Let us please use some decent language while posting? Don't you agree?

why we are giving you a hard time, is that your snotty opinions are directed at a place that most of us like, a lot of us have stayed at and you never have. So why not get your arse over there and then complain if you have a problem, if not and you like it, then let us also know how good it was.
You also mistake a lot of complaints on here as the place running badly. When you think that this place is populated by a lot of BTF'ers, then don't you think that an above average number of complaints might make it on here as well. Take a look at the complaints, fcuk all, mostly about checking in or extending stays or confusion on over bookings etc.
Also consider that this hotel has/had no signage anywhere for 'it' being a hotel, this was because it did not have its 'whatever was required yet' to put up the signage. So this hotel is running at near full occupancy a lot of the time, by word of mouth. It must be doing something right.
So unless you are in fact another hotel owner with sour grapes, or your own cockroach infested fleabag hotel is not doing so well, then why not either firstly stay there, or as you have been happy to put the place down sight unseen, why not also praise it a little site unseen.
You can think all you want who owns and does not own this hotel. The point is that this is a small community on here and as it has been proven many times before, if anyone comes on here and starts to try to pull the wool over members eyes with claims of this and that, they get shot down in flames very quickly.
If we were the owners, then we would be thanking everyone for their support, not spending time giving you the sh_ts.
Why don't you promote your hotel on here and reap the rewards, or you scared of it being shot to pieces and your tight ship not being quite as tight as the titanic.
Now get back to your tight ship, booosssss.

Maybe it got lost in the argument, but:
I stayed at SG for 17 days. Only minor problems, like my keycard stopped working 3 times.
No problems with booking.
No problems with extensions.
Exellent room, exellent hotel.

The Grottino (spelt with two t's) is the best value for money in Bangkok... I should know I was their very first guest.  I have stayed there on many occasions and will continue to do so in the future...
If I encounter any problems in the future then so be it... I am not perfect, so why should I expect everyone else around me to be perfect...

ps. I do have one complaint. I allways oversleep there because the beds are so comfortable and its so bloody cosy and quiet...

I have a complaint also, I did not like laying in bed in the morning when I woke up and drag the tg on top of me for a round and then look out the window and see someone sitting in there mercedes watching me. Well it ain't really a complaint, it was kinda fun, but how can we charge for that.
