So I'm on the airport bus heading towards Bkk and I find myself smiling, you know what I'm talking about Lads! I get off at Robinson and after a few mins walk I check-in to Swiss Grottino. Daniel's a nice guy and very professional so everything goes smoothly. Daniel accompanies me in the lift and uses the electronic key card to open the door to my minimalist style room. This is lovely, quiet, well appointed with a safe, TV, nice bathroom and a large comfy bed. On the ground floor of the hotel there's a restaurant and a pool table in a secluded area where you can have a drink and play with the girls, so to speak! I availed myself of one of these lovelies on my last night as it happens.
I didn't get up early enough to have breakfast and I was always out during lunch or dinner time so I can't comment on the food, service etc., in the restaurant.
All the equipment in the room worked fine including the sliding wooden window blinds - nice unusual touch. The BG that was with me on my last night especially liked the light dimmer that allowed us to achieve a compromise between me wanting to see what was going on and her trying to achieve total darkness with the blind drawn! There were some workmen trying their best to disturb us residents but they didn't affect me much and I had a very relaxing 3 days. Especially relaxing during one session when the last thing I remember is skulling a Tequila shooter in G Spot at about midnight then I woke up fully clothed, lying on my bed at 13:15 the next day, where did those hours go?
Some might say it's expensive, I believe it's still good value at Baht 1700 and I would certainly recommend this comfortable hotel. Most of the teething problems have gone now but Daniel should delegate the next days early check-out to somebody else when he's been on the town with a few BTF lads the night before!

Well, I will vistit Bangkok sometime first half of next year. But if they do not get down from their 1700 a night, there are better alternatives. A very good hotel, though. Got really curious about the girls on the first floor. Might come in handy.

They're not pushy and the 5 when I was there were havin' fun, laughin' n' jokin' etc. Only issue might be after takin' one you might feel obliged to take the same one next night.

Is this thread still about the grottino? stayed there last month after the grande sheratton suk and the zenith. Zenith was a complete joke, overpriced bad service and some of the most incompetent staff I have ever seen. It took them 30 minutes to check me out at 5 in the morning when nobody else there.
About the Grottino I really not sure if I like it or not, downstairs it looks a dump but the rooms are very good. The door to the soi was often open so not that secure, but they had a guy there most nights. Overcharged me by 1800 baht but soon put it right. The best thing about the place are the rooms, apart from that little to shout about-petre

Stayed 4 nights with them
Never had a problem with the hot water but you would if you showered for a long time as the tank is small. No problem just showered with the girls.
Location was great.
They don't knock on you door at 1:30 asking to make up room!!
The bed was great. They would make it up in the day and if I left and came back at night the bedspread would be pulled back ready for the night with the pillows stacked and a little box with a chocolate for my girl of the night.
The dimmher switch the girls loved.
The best part was I never knew how hot Thai girls look after they come out of the bathroom in a light tan bathrobe. I think the colour goes well with their skin tone.
A/C good plus you can open the window that has a screen if you want.
Small sofa so you can watch TV or chat with your girl.
I didn't use the internet but they told me it was 150 baht a night if I wanted to use it.
I paid my bill the night before to avoid dealing with the early morning hassle of that part. Then I just had to pay for the one beer my girl opened and had two sips of 
All in all I liked the place but not cheap.

Am already booked for late March. Loved the place 6 mos ago. Did not have a shower prob. Nice private enterance and very clean and modern rooms. Combo safe-a must-not over charge for in room drinks. Never ate there. Ihera it OK. Still 1700 bt/night--not bad. Very close walk to Soi cowboy and Skytrain.
Iualum--if want to meet PM me always looking for some BTF menbers to party with.
