Daniel was here & everything went as smooth as Swiss clockwork. He rermembered me from our email dialog. Had the reservation. Room was ready, even-numbered room that I'd requested because I'd read they are a bit larger.
Room is very nice, as website photo.
No problem so far with hot water at all. TGF gave me a shower then I gave her a shower. It was still hot. And no, we weren't rushing anything. Didn't have a stopwatch on it, but I think as long as you don't like real long showers, you'll be O.K.
Bed is firm. That's how I like it.
'Net connection working well & reasonably fast.
A/C good.
After only 1 night, I'm real happy with this place.
Just a quick update. 4 nights now. Only 1 more & my short trip's over.
Still no hot water problem. As long as you want a shower rather than a sauna, you'll be O.K.
Have been waiting for a noise problem as some people have posted. There's been none. It's pretty quiet.
Card key has worked each time, although on a couple occasions I've needed to try it a few times for the door to unlock. But no need for a re-key.
Completely girl-friendly, as reported many times.
Internet access very good.
I can see how there might be some communication problem when Daniel is gone. The women working at the hotel have limited English. Fortunately I've had no problems that I've needed help with.
All in all, I think it's a very nice place at a very reasonable price. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed there a few times now, never heard the construction noise but there is a Karaoke Bar next door that can be slightly heard if you in the far rooms (the ones against the common wall). It stops at 2am! Not really annoying as I am usually not back by 2am anyway!

Stayed at the Grottino couple of weeks ago...and gotta say was impressed! The room was modern and well decked out. Daniel is a well organised individual and a very accomodating fella. The discreet door is a great idea. The location of this place and its side street entrance makes it an ideal rest point for all your Bkk needs. However I gotta agree with the staff when Daniel is out, their very limited english makes it difficult to converse.
ps. Food although expensive for Bkk is good too!
