Now that I look at the pictures and if I am not mistaken, one of my GIKs was working in the restaurant when I last saw her.
The Restaurant Manager that day was a sweetie too and kept giving me the eye.
Oh when it rains it pours....

I stayed at the Swiss Grottino recently and had an okay experience, nothing great. In my opinion they are starting to price themselves out of the market if they go higher than 1700 a night. I think 1500 is about the max I would pay to stay there again. The nice features: good decor in room, good A/C, cable tv, minifridge, internet with multi-socket for plugs, lighting under the bed and the adjustable dimmer switch, decent shampoo and soap in the shower. Negative points: hot water didn't last long and was very annoying when you want more than a 4-5 minute shower, they'll bring you the hotel's only iron but they don't have an ironing board, bed hard but not unbearable, lack of "lobby" has conveniences but they could smarten up the "check-in" area, in-house laundry prices are steep (where aren't they) -- very close laundry is available on Soi 19 toward robinsons, looks like you might have to go upstairs but it is on the ground floor tucked behind a travel agency.
Anyway, I don't mean to knock the place, if the advantages outweigh the negatives for you, then it is a nice discreet hotel to stay at and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you, like me, are used to staying at places like the President Solitaire, etc. I think you will be disappointed, ie. not worth the money saved.

Cartoon the Thai hotel supervisor is very helpful and more than willing to help you out with any problem. For instance she found me a driver to take me up country for a reasonable rate. Well done Cartoon I appreciate your assistance.
The Laundry near Robinsons is not up stairs, it's just behind the travel agency. The entry takes a dog leg. The laundry prices are very reasonable.

I liked the place the first time I stayed there and I posted my thoughts on here before.
My only 2 concerns was the dodgy internet run buy a proxy server that did not work often and blocked my VPN connections and my room card failed 3 times, once leaving me sat outside my room at 3am in the morning on the floor while my temp girl friend went to fiend some one to sort it out.
Any body any ideas is this been sorted yet, as other than those great place.
Apart from the bar girl that gave me grief evey time I turned up with a different girl every night
