Hey Crab,
The SG is the only place I have ever stayed in BKK. The rooms have great lighting--around the platform bed. It's great for those shy ones who do not like over head lights and those guys who perfer lights on.
Great linens but the bed a little firm for my taste--that's all I can fault it for.
I usually tip the doorman when I go out and he keeps a loose eye on things.
I have never met a TG who doesn't like the rooms. I think it helps with the action and for those who like LT--the TG's set up camp.
Already have my room for Jan 06. Mabey see you there or hear you next door. lol

I just stayed here for the first time for about 7 nights split up and this is the best hotel for the price I have stayed at yet. The location and everything you need is right there, if not the family mart is right there. Plus skytrain is so easily accessible. Nothing to complain about at this hotel.

I love the place. Great value in my book. I'd never think of staying in a run down place on a vacation, what's the point of that? After getting there in the first place & $ for girls, drink, food, what's a few extra bucks for a very nice, comfortable, relaxing place? I don't need pool or gym, so I consider this THE place for me.

I'm getting ready for my trip in just few weeks and was planning on booking the Grottino as usual. However, a friend who just stayed there on my recommendation was a little upset with me because the Grottino had no in room internet connections. During my previous stays there was in room access and the website still confirms this. Was there just a problem while he was there or has the in room access been discontinued? Unfortunately, this is a neccessity for me. Anyone there now confirm that the connection is available?

Yes, I stayed at SG last week and can confirm in room internet was working fine. Guest needs to bring own LAN cable and ask Daniel to configure IP address on Laptop.

I am going to kill two birds with one stone. This question is for both the SG and the Town Lodge fans.
I wonder if either one of them have a safe big enough for my fraekingly large notebook 17" Screen. I bought a Desktop replacement withouth realizing the drawback such as traveling. I have being to the SG and loved it and planing on coming back but I don't remember the size of the safe. Any help is great!
