I am staying here now and would highly reccomend it. The rooms have a very trendy look to them and the high speed internet kicks ass. This will definately be where I stay on all future trips. Its definately cozy with a homely feel.

the rooms have internet access.....i am not a tech guy. anybody know if I can use a japanese computer (i.e. wired for japans electrical system) here?

This was one of the most pleasant stays I have ever had in BKK. No problem arose that Daniel did not have a solution for. The high speed internet in the rooms is very convenient, the staff were very helpful no matter how drunk we were, the rooms are perfect for entertaining a few friends. The food was great but I did not have enough time to sample enough of it. Theres no time for eating when drinking like drunken sailors on R&R.
I would definately recommend the Grottino to any visitors to BKK.

Stayed at SG Friday and Sat, election weekend. Nice place and good value. Location is good, decent internet access. No problems checking in late, and getting into the room after hours, no problems with the lady friend. They actually treated my guest better than most other hotels.
The shower has two places you can locate the shower head, one low one (ladies hight), and one high one (farang hight). Shower also has a handel that can be handy.

The website for this hotel is not very detailed, I just have a few questions.
Do the bathrooms have a tub, or is it just a shower?
Has anyone used the Guest Laundry Service, how is it?

Standard room has shower only. Per my earlier post the shower has two locations to hold the shower head, one lower (Thai height), and one higher up (Farang height), plus there is a sturdy handle that can come in quite handy.
Never used the laundry service.

Only used the Laundry service once, no problem and quiet cheap! IBF is correct about the showers, no Bathtubs!

Not totally positive but I think there are only one type of room as the site only has one price.
 the laundry service there is really cheap for a hotel. So cheap that if I'm there I just do laundry in the hotel without one bit of hesitation as to finding a cheaper alternative.
Up to you, depends what you are trying to get out of your hotel.
