hi all,
well after hearing so much about the Swiss Gronitto, I plan to try it out this time in June first week.
I would like to know what is the mode of payment for them? is it that they send u a link for their payment server once your booking is confirmed thru email?
Secondly, is there a possibility that u book ur room thru email, and pay up once u land at the hotel?

It would be very effective if you e-mail Daniel off the site, however the payment method is THB on site. Which is very good if you change your plans or anything. This should answer both your questions.

I just returned to Aus from LOS,,, stayed at Swiss Grottino last 3 nights.
Clean, friendly, good food (both Thai and euro), good service, friendly atmosphere and very good location.
I will state this, it is the best compromise between price, quality and location that I have so far found in BKK, the last trip was my 14th trip so I am no newbie.
I HIGHLY recommend this place.
tetrapod,,, the first pic link was my room !!!! no it was same room but I am not as messy,,,LOL.
I must say when I first arrived and saw that "cave" type paper meshay? growth out the front I had my worries but this is a GREAT place.

If you are over 6 feet tall, you must be very careful when walking through some parts of the "cave." I think there is a piece of my scalp still hanging from the ceiling there.

just a little point regarding internet in the rooms: is it wireless? I read somewhere that you might have to bring your own cable?

It is not wireless. They will supply the cable, although I doubt they have enough if every single guest requested one.
