I like it but it's been very noisy the past few weeks with construction going on around (inside?) I'm not a light sleeper but there seems to be about half an hour a day of mega-drilling I have to bear before I can go back to sleep again.

In my opinion, as stated at that time, pushes this fine establishment beyond what could be considered "value for money".

Mel, if this is too expensive for you, why not stay at the TL like others do? If 1800 was value for money surely 1950 is not that bad isn't it now.

Well, as said already. I stayed two times there this month. Once for 3 nights and again for 5 nights. And the last time was just a few days ago. Rate in both cases was 1800bt with internet. I was aware of the price increase via this forum and actually queried S/G on same back in August. Was told it was going to 1900bt.
Guess they decided to maintain the rate at 1800bt. Just reporting what it was as of 21/October.

apollo, it is NOT a case of being too expensive, it is a case of seeking value for money.Saying its value at 1800 why not 1950 brings the argument why not 2100,, why not 2,350 why not 2,500 etc etc?
This is a point where price makes a product no longer value for money.
For me I very much like SG and it IS value at 1,800BHT, if the price increases at the end of this month to 1950 BHT I will be looking elsewhere to try and find better value, if I succeed I will let you know. also if I fail I will let you know.
TL for me is not an option,, way toooo convenient to get myself in trouble ( drinking and womenising every night), I do have some work to do even when on holidays ... If I stayed a full twp weeks I think I'd be dead.
