Stayed at the SG again last week and still think it's the best value around. Absolutely no hassle, and the private entrance makes it extremely girl friendly. Service is always efficient and welcoming.
Rooms are looking a bit tired, but the location can't be beat.

Have just a couple of questions about this place - maybe someone can help. Looking at the website, the rooms seem to be quite small and have no closet. Is there a closet to hang things, and is the room big enough? Any info appreciated.

A couple of years since I stayed there. Its small, too small for me. 22 sqm. I do not remember any closet.

There is a closet as soon as you walk in on your left. It is not a huge closet enough to hang about 8 things just ask for more hangers. There are about 3 drawers. The top has the shower cap and laundry bag and I think slippers. Also cotton buds. I'm not sure how much space you require. I think the space is enough. I do not like staying in 'closets' but then again I do not need a mansion for a temporary home. I do think that this place is getting kind of pricey for what you get. There are many more options now.

I know this hotel hasn't been talked about much because of all the new hotels that have popped up close by but I just stayed there for ten days and was very pleased with it. Staff was very friendly and Daniel(GM) is always accommodating as usual. Also met the majority owner. Place is definitely a little older now but can't beat the location. I was going to stay at The Key but couldn't get a definitive answer on its girl friendliness although you can easily bypass all this by taking the stairs or just going straight up the elevator. I did see the rooms at The Key and Sacha Uno which is less than a block away and the Grottino had the bigger rooms.
