Not bad at all, nobody hangs in the lobby. It's walk in front door, grab key from desk, turn left down the hall, past the gym and pool, to the elevators.
Or keep the key with you (if still using same key, bit bulky). But no real walk of shame as lobby is so small.
Used to have a door from outside into restaurant (could even skip lobby), but maybe that's gone now.

The door to the restaurant is still there if you want to by pass the lobby, and they give you electronic keys now which you keep with you so do not have to go to reception at all.

I was less than enchanted with RP suites. I took one of the one bedroom apartments in the court extension area. I had real problems with the hot water. None in the shower for two days. I finally left. The strong points are its privacy and large size for the money. The rooms are beginning to show there age. Whowever the electrician was that set up all the light switches must have been high. I never could find a way to turn off all the different lgihts in the place absent leaving the room and removing the key.

Repost here as the other title talked about a rip off, and I found it a really decent place and good value.
Just spent a week at the Royal President.
Room was spacious and comfortable, at 2200 B with breakfast, email access, laundry and 10% F&B discount I found it to be a decent deal.
Nicely GF, they will take the the id card, but no walk of shame to speak of. Keycard for the elevator, so nobody will sneak up on you.
The room could use a facelift though, but comparing what else was available for the same money, I felt I got a good deal.
Location is good, a ways up soi 15, central to almost everything.
No problems whatsoever.
Thumbs up, I would stay there again.

Very good value for money. Suites with washing machine and dryer. 2, 3 or 4 ladies no problem. Suite has living room and bed room. Separate shower cubicle and bathtube. But the walk of shame is long, especially if you must wait for the elevator because the entrance is just behind the reception (Garden wing).
I was there two weeks in 2009 and one week in February 2010.
