Stayed here recently and although it was not bad in any way, I did expect more. Rooms were OK and generally no problems, just felt it lacked something. Hard to difine what, character I suppose.
The main reason I would not go back though is the lifts (elevators if you are a US citizen) There are three and although modern they are the slowest damn lifts I can remember using anywhere! I don't think I ever waited for less than 2 or three minutes for one to arrive. Don't know about others but this drives me crazy.

I live at Emporium Suites. That indefinable missing something is perhaps that it is not designed as a hotel, but as long-term stay serviced apartments. Japanese expats are the target market, which they high squarely - sort of Frank Lloyd Wright meets Zen design. While fully furnished, to 'finish' it requires a few items, not provided in typical units, to personaliize it. Right about the lifts - while Emporium is otherwise 'all there', the lifts were underspecified. Great pool - repeat - great pool. The location is fabulous - within 5 minutes walk of a great selection of restaurants and shopping, and a walk-on to the Phrom Pong BTS Station which is 1 stop from Soi Cowboy, 2 stops from Nana, walking distance to Soi 33. Starbucks is downstairs. It's all here, but definately not a Nana neighborhood scene.

Hey Paulo,
Mate, maybe you have forgotten that the elevators, amongst other things WILL NOT be the same as in the US.
This is probably because you are NOT in the US!!!!
If you want things to be just like back home...
I suggest you stay at home!
Stayed just once at Emporium and it is just about the finest serviced apartments in LOS. I found the place very hard to fault.

Magnum. You are right, of course. The position is just perfect. Just wish they had put in top spec lifts. I am not saying I disliked the place, not at all. Just did not do anything for me.
Spurs Man. Try reading my post again, please. I said 'lifts, or elevators if you are a US citizen'. Still not clear, OK, I come from the same island as you.

I know how pissed you are at this character named Dr Love. But since you are the "bigger" man, try to ignore him if yuo can. he just went through something that really hurt him or maybe he went through something so drastic that it totally altered his personality. As you can see from his previous posts, he has been taunting people and having a kick from it.
But bear with me as he is in the process of rehabilitation. I am in the process of changing him as we are constantly exchanging messages. Sooner or later, he will change. Give him time for his hurt to disappear. Poor guy. I still wonder what hurt him so bad.

I have seen many posts from the self proclaimed 'Dr Love' so I understand what you mean. It's a shame really, because this is a truly great site, mostly used by people who want to share and gain information. Seems to me there are a tiny number of village idiots, maybe no more than 2 or 3, who delight in trying to derail normal threads. 'Da love Dr' being the main culprit. Oh well, up to him. What motivates this kind of action is anyones guess but frankly, who cares
