thinking of trying stable lodge for something different, anyone stayed there, how are the rooms, is it guest friendly.

Stayed there in May this year for a couple of days, GF price does not include breakfast that's not a problem as there are plenty of places nearby, the Whitehouse is right next door owned by an Australian guy named Keith.

I have not stayed at Stable Lodge myself. I have seen the rooms and they look OK, clean and relatively cheap. The food is great especially on Saturdays/Sundays "Smoergaasbord" buffet during lunch hours. No doubt that the place is girl friendly as the owners of Stable Lodge are also involved in Check Inn 99 (good music - 3 Philippine singers and one guy on keyboards and some nice hostesses as well) between Soi 7 and Soi 9 just on the other side of Sukhumvit. Stable Lodge is on Soi 8. Anyway just go to Stable Lodge for the food - mainly Danish with a few Swedish and Norwegian dishes and of course also Thai food (for the lady ?). Cheers.

Very friendly staff. Relatively clean. Nice pool.
Still, you can get better deals for 1200 a night...
Try "Promenade" on the opposite side about 100 meters down from Stable Lodge.
Rooms are bigger, adjustable AC (which u don't get at Stable - only on or off!), in-room-safe, much more quiet than Stable Lodge.
Personally I would go for Majestic Suites anytime, though.

It's a crumbling old building, which won't impress the ladies too much. My room had the stench of a dead rat. The pool is so-so and closes at 6 p.m.
Still, the hotel has a cozy clubhouse feel to it and the young female staff are charming. The wooden floorboards are a nice touch. Great location.

just stay there for 4 nights last months the restaurant was getting new celling so lots of noise in the moning
els a nice hotel better in promonade
