it compares to the deluxe room at the majestic. pool is in the planning.
I personally like the rooms, they are nicely furnished.
owner is a longtime hospitality professional.

they are literally behind robinson carpark. there is access from soi 17 or soi 19. bts and metro are near.

Well I for one am very, very impressed with the level of service at the Grottino Residence. 
My observations:
1) Very new and VERY clean.
2) Good quality food...
3) Seperate entrance (no walk of shame!).
4) 24hr Electronic Surveillance for Security.
5) Excellent (modern) room design.
6) Half the rooms with large double bed the rest with a VERY LARGE bed..
7) Very good quality towles and bed linen...
8) Fast internet connection (see RTB's post)
9) Very quiet location off main road Soi 19 Sukhumvit.
10) Close to most places of interest and shopping.
I could go on about the home made bread from its own bakery, the outstanding fresh brewed coffee, and the friendly/helfull staff and the nice guy Manager Daniel, but I won't...
Just let me tell you I will not consider staying anywhere else in the near future.. Whenever I am in Bangkok, this is where you will find me..
It's a gem of a hide away and cheap for the price..
BTF members get 1 night free when you book 3 nights at 1,500baht p/night.
