I figured I'd make a new thread that deals with the clientele that caters to these "upscale" clubs. In the "Club Orbit" thread, there was a mini tangent running about the manner of dress (suits or jeans).
To get a better clearer idea on how to dress and act accordingly, let me ask what the clientele make-up is. Are the clients predominantly middle to upper class Thais? Or Farang ex-pats? Japanese, Chinese, or other asian business/tourist folks? Older fellas looking for "sugarbabies" or youngins looking for some digits? If all of the above, is it more professional or leisure dressed folks?
Walking into an upscale resteraunt in jean shorts and t-shirt is about as loud as a 3-piece suit "boiler room" bloke in a gogo, they're both slightly outta place.

Orbit's clientel is 85% made up of Thai's. To me, they look more like business people. 15% others (all other races.)
For the ages, it is mostly men over 30 years old. I did not see any 21 year old men running around. And I saw men, because the females in my opinon are between the ages of 18-15 years old!! ha ha ha ha!!
The dress is casual, but really anything goes. I think suaporn said it best in the other Orbit forum reagarding dress.
Hope that gives you a better senses of what Orbit is like.

On weekdays the clientel is mostly comprised of business people and some youngsters here and there. On friday nights and weekends it's more of a mixed crowd...business people and youngsters. So you will see anything from people in suits and ties on weekdays to jeans and t-shirts on weekends.
From my point of view, just dress in what you feel most comfortable...don't tell me boxers and a t-shirt though.
I mean I always go there in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Haven't gotten any nasty stares so far from neither the recptionists nor the dancers.

most of the clientelle is upper class thais. and they usually buy bottles to drink w/mixers. bottles usually run about 2400B and up. the people usually sitting on the bar where the girls dance on, are drinking mixed drinks. so you don't see many beer bottles around like when you go to a gogo bar.

Presumably that was a joke. Too many people take everything so literally and automatically assume the worst. Maybe he really meant it as an insult, but that is never my first assumption.
