Anybody had any problems with local's or farang guys at clubs. Recently I had my first fight at a club for no reason, a bunch of drunk guys grabbed my chick and her sister when they were dancing and it went from there. I'am not the best fighter but put in a good performance, now the door crew follow me everywhere I go in the club. Is it up to me to talk with the management or let it die down ???????

There was a thread that kind of dealt with fights in LOS under heading Anything Else, thread heading was something like Thai Bouncers are Pussies, Tourist Police BS. Check it out for some of the members insights (sorry don't know how to post the link). Generally, not a good idea to get into a fight particularly if you are falang and you are fighting thais- no one is likely to take your side, but sometimes like probably here can't be avoided. As far as smoothing things over with management may be a good idea to explain and apologize but I would defer to one of the knowledgeable expats (like thaiprivateeye, Mr. Joe, Sauron, et al) on the best way to proceed.

as said before never get involved in any fights in thailand!!!
if somebody is provoking you just ignore him, if he continues that way tell the waiter or the management to take care and talk with the guy. normally that works everywhere in the world. just cool your nerves down because as soon as you starting to get involved in anything you are the farang and you are lost!
even if they are attacking you already i would hold back and show them that i do have the better education and way of behaving. if you do not fight back you will not loose your face as a farang and might be actually gaining in the eyes of the thais!
so whereever you are in a disco let the bouncers take care of any problems, this is what they are there for! you are not supposed to do their job as i guess you do have a much more superior education then these guys.
mind you, this does not apply when you started the fighting or harrassing! then you better take your feet and run!

Yes it was ministry of sound but the crowd didn't get involved. A few people said well done, I think it was a case of drunk big mouths v's one guy. The door crew stood back at the beginning and I expected a harder fight against a group of five thai guys but the drink followed by some of my hardest punches (lucky). Not all of them jumped in but I'am 100kg and can get very angry. The thai people all seemed to be on my side and the door crew seem to be a bit scaired by me. I say hello and greet them to put them at ease but they watch me like a hawk now. I think I must approuch the manager and tell him what happened or somebody may have done that, thats why I'am not banned from the club.

Nikko, since this seem to have happened in the MOS, which is looked at a Farang place, the usual rules do not apply. Its a Farang concept, Farang Management, and used to be a 90% Farang place. So plenty of people on the Farangs side. Just wondering why the bouncers stood in the back and didnt perform their job, another indicator that MOS is on the downside

More to loose than to gain. Griffin is correct, you won't loose face if you stand back. If you knock one of the locals, he will loose face and will not forget it.
The Thai guys can be very proud and have the desire to get even. This they can do in various ways, from nasty to anoying.
You might win the fight and still be the looser.

Tycoon, You are getting some very sound advice. My TG and I were leaving MOS in the aftermath of this fight. We were not even aware of it, until we ran right into. Shouting was still taking place, the punches already happened. You are very lucky. because it wouldn't taken much for the others to jump in again. I think all advice given is right on! Sorry about your misfortune.

I agree with what everyone has already said. Don't get into a fight with a Thai local. It's not worth the trouble that might happen.
I've only been in one fight in BKK, but I've had a couple confrontations with falangs. More directly, caucasian men men who think that they are "God's gift to the world and that all others should kiss the ground they walk on". I've never had any issues or problems with any Thai locals.
The confrontations have been either verbal racial slangs about asians and either how good the white race is and they could satisfy the female better then an asian.
The one person that did push it is now missing a couple teeth. I will have to say that this type of garbage is far and few between. But ... when a confrontation has happnened, it has always been a farlang mouthing off towards me.
And this is not to say that all caucasian people are bad. Every race has their bad apples.

So what happens if you are in a club with your GF and I guy grabs her in the crotch or on the ass right in front of you. Ignore it? Is that what I'm hearing from you guys?
I've been very close to getting into fights for this reason a couple of times but once the guys friend apologized quickly for his drunk friend and the other time (at MOS incidently) my GF didn't tell me until we had finished walking out of the club. I think it's just a matter of time before I bash the head of some rude farang that assumes that my GF is nothing more than a piece of meat that he can help himself too....
If it were Thais doing this, I would probably agree that it is best to just ignore it because I wouldn't be allowed to win. But with farangs I think it is a different game. And my GF assured me that if I got in a fight with the other farang that the police would be hauling HIM away not me no matter what because she would take care of that...
