goober, the place was probably packed because of halloween. go on a weekday about 10:30p or 11p, and you can find a seat anywhere. although the best set is on the bar. the girls wear different outfits other than what you had observed that night.

Well, never take any "pickups" to your real apartment (condo, townhouse, etc) and certainly not your family's house. Given, no brainer. The solution is to keep a short time apartment (rented) that is sparingly decorated, 3500 a month. The utilities is almost nothing because you're only there 1-2 nights a week x 4 weeks out of the month. About $150 cost per month for a LOT of piece of mind. The fastest way to turn off a semipro (like dancers, RCA, Orbit, Forte, etc) girls is to take them to a hotel. Once you get to know them, sure, a quickie on a way to a movie is okay in a Peep Inn or 7 Holidays Inn... But the studio apartment (even a cheap one) is best for new meat.
If it ever gets too hot, you just move. Haven't had to move my ST apartment once, yet. If you're straight up with the girls, no need to run. Recommend getting one in the Huay Kwang area (MP girl living area-central). Plus in a year or so, we'll have subway/train access up and down Ratchada and all the way into downtown.
Oi, the convenience, can leave the auto at home. Speaking of which, Goober and company, ya'll cracked my cheap Accord's aluminum trim/door decor freebie from the dealership with a door slam. hehe..... no worries. So you owe me two beers (large bottle) instead of one.

I know it seems like a rhetorical question, but I think it may be valid for residents. For one, perhaps one has a live-in GF already. I think I heard that umm... last year! ;) I was in a taxi earlier today passing by one of the subway entrances. Amazing how the workers have given up any effort into "pretending" to work. If anything, it looked like a local hangout. I'm with you on the subway though, it'd be a godsend.
On the ST apartment... geez I'm getting kikiat. I have to go apartment hunting again?! ;) It might be best to have girl(s) lined up before doing that. An apartment would also be alot more cost effective. Although, it'd be pretty obvious to the girl what the studio's purpose was. Thanks for the input packripper.

No worries, mate. Yes, it's obvious to the girl what the apartment is for. Let's not forget that in the big picture, this is just a transaction (that has been going on for centuries). ...With just a little more sugar coating to make her feel less like a prostitute, and a little less in direct payments (gifts, dinners, movies, dates, etc.) so you can feel less like a john. Ah, yeah, usual disclaimer. All just Pack's opinion. Don't want to phase those guys who are absolutely convinced that the girls are in it for our great personalities and sexual prowness. 1) what area for those rates
2) what are they furnished with (a/c included?)
3) do you need to have about 4 or 5 locks on the door
4) how long is the lease (can it be monthly)
5) what type of paperwork is needed to be able to rent
6) is there a first and last months deposit

1) There is quite a range, 2,000-15,000 (depending on your disposable income). My "fun box/crib" is a tiny 27 square meter studio on Soi Thoranin 8 in Huay Kwang. 3250 per month, no utilities included. You pay a deposit for the air con and 2 months dep. You can get these in 3,6,12 whatever term leases you want (depends on the place, quite flexible if you're just polite about asking).
2) Mine was unfurnished, but you can get furnished too. I prefer the unfurnished because it lowers my monthly fixed rent (furnished is more). Then all my furniture is just a one time cost. Ah... even unfurnished, a queen sized bed is usually included. The only thing you need to plug and play is (just for me anyway): tv, playstation, DVD player/stereo, small fridge, hot water thermos, hot plate stove, eating table, 1 standing lamp, and dresser. Ah, mine happened to have a built in dresser, so that was included. Put in some thick curtains so you can sleep till 1pm when you're there. Get some thick satin comforters. You then have something in the realm of a cozy college dorm like feel.
3) Never had a break in. But I also have my gun club membership stickers on my car and my front door...  Break ins are rare (never had one, and never had a friend who had a break in either), but do happen. Just make sure you are 'friends' with the security guards. Tip them 20-30 Baht everytime you send them for noodles, and 20 Baht when you park your car there (if you're driving) overnight. No worries about scratches, and you'll have someone on your "payroll" for when you're not there. Tell the guards and receptionist that uninvited guests are not welcome unless "I'm home." ("ah, Hia Packripper is sleeping, and doesn't want to be disturbed.")

5) Thai id card or passport is all you need (some places don't require anything... as Bangkok is full of illegals anyway).

I think it's minimal expense for the amount of fun I've had there. Private, the girls don't get that short time hotel feeling (and you thus get much much better service... because they have 'hope' in you as a 'lottery ticket'), you don't have to pick girls up... just call them over (just make sure you have your house RULES straight and "you have to ask me nicely" crystal clear)... all for 150-200 Baht total per day (24 hours), 4500-6000 per month depending on how much fun you have there.
Compare to hitting 4 trays of balls at the driving range.

For everyone else, note that this is advice for if you already own a house and/or condo in Bangkok. If you do not, you can buy a place like this as your "home" for 300-450k (quite inexpensive, but quite liveable if you're on a budget) and then rent ANOTHER as your disposable place.
If you have rules, you might not need one. But for me, I think it's just like first class automobile / health insurance. You never know when a situation will come up that you can't handle... no worries. Just hit the eject button and get outta there.

Every forum in the world gets threadjacked. As I recall the total deposit was 12,000. So that makes the air con deposit 5500. I believe the deposit covered the toilet, sink, ceiling fan, queen bed, and built in dresser for damage. All of this is often negotiable. Working girls live in these types of places and often move in for a minimal deposit (I got the full sugar daddy rate/policy). The landlord understands the world of the working girl and knows they are good for the rent/cash if they allow them to move in for 1-2k.
