I think my post on the Piano thread regarding 'drinking girls' is relevant here...

A lot of these girls aren't going with customers (instantly anyway.... with time invested is another matter because of "jai tak") because they actually are trying to be 'good.'
I think ABC or someone mentioned that they see these girls getting picked up by guys in BMWs or whatever. Well, some of these guys are their boyfriends or sugar daddies. So they aren't really getting "picked up" in the traditional sense. Just going home with someone they already know. These guys won't be picking up their girls every night (because often they have more than one girl somewhere or another), so the girl will have some free time on her hands at one time or another to decide to go with someone or just go home like a good girl.
The thing with karaoke bars and drink bars like Forte or Orbit, some of the girls work there because they were scooped out of massage parlours by these guys and "deposited" at a drinking bar so they don't have to share their girls with as many guys. It varies from relationship to relationship. Some might be strict and fanatically closed and some might be like more open and whatever goes. ...As long as it doesn't conflict with the sugar daddy's or regular bf's schedule.
But yeah, just like anywhere else. There are relationships that are on the rocks and about to fall apart, so you never know. No need to be dissappointed though if a girl doesn't go with you right away.

ehm pack, are you mocking about how i treat my main girls here or what?
sure i like to take the girls out of the scene but need to place them somewhere where they can not disturb me too much, + they also make some extra money. what is wrong with that concept?

Why? Because they are spolied by the great amount of money they make. At an early age they make huge amounts of money (by local standards). Thus they start thinking that they have made it and they are already successfull and independent -thus not needing any extra income on the side. They start thinking that they are above the rest and now want real love, which they dont think will find at the place they work from any of the "customers". They do not trust the guys there because they think that "good" guys would not go there to pick up a "good" girl. In other words, their new found economic fortune makes them independent enough to prefer their old not-so-rich boyfriend from the neighborhood.
Good for them. If they've found a way to prosper at this game, I'm happy for them and they owe us absolutely nothing.

Pleasure is all ours. Nice to know that you and D had a ball that night. Don't forget...once D has really decided to go for that membership of his I'll introduce him to our sales person. Nothing in it for me, but she's really nice and always taking great care. I know other sales people who will constantly hit you for drinks. In my case though, the most she sometimes ask is one or two drinks, which IMHO is next to nothing compared to the drinks you give away to the girls on the bars. Sometimes if shes like too wasted she won't even accept any drinks.

Not at all mocking, Griff. Just a little comment for the fellas I see there scratching their heads on why some girls won't go out right away. Although I do maintain that most will if you just put in a little bit (very little) of effort. All karaoke/drink bars are... it's like a laid back version of speed dating (stateside), only the girls working them are sure things in the short and medium run.

You're more than welcome to join us at anytime. It's my pleasure to enjoy the scene with someone who share the same interest.
My invitation still opens to any of you on the board to join me and my friends at Orbit every Friday and Saturday. (For weekday, we do go every once in a while as a matter of fact we just went there last night (Nov 26) 5555.

I love your post and you have read half of my mind.
It happened to me before that I went there and concentrated only to one dancer just to proof the same point but my patience ran short after a while. I spent so much time and energy and still felt miserable due to the lack of intention I got back.
I still do believe that consistency and persistance weren't everything. Look and money also still play the major role here. They think If they gonna get laid anyway why don't go with the handsome or rich one. Usually I think they are the one who pick us or the one they want to go out with not us who pick them since they do have choices.
But then I want to also proof to the girls that not every men first idea is to f**k them. Can we be just friends? Sometimes we just need a companion. Someone that we can talk to or share thought. Don't you think. If it's later gonna go any further then be it but don't think the reason that we go there in the first place is to get under their clothes. Sometime they just have to open their minds as well. If we really want to get bang bang, we can just go to MP right.
Lately me and my friends have changed our strategy about these girls for the sake of our own pleasure. Anyone that we like (of coruse cute) we just chitchat with them and then buy them drinks. We don't stick to just one girl no more. So we got to know a lot of those dancers or even bartendies and we became friends. It just like we went to a party with a lot of friends.
We don't feel miserable waiting to get some little attention from one girl no more. If we don't get enough interest from one particular girl then we don't care about her and just move on with the ones who do care about us. A girl who didn't care shit about us in the first place sometime did come back and want more attention from us. Sometime it just works out that way.
As of now, me and my friends are very happy here at the Orbit with our new found friends. We also have set a aside the idea of let-get-the-girl-back-home-first and wait till the nature take its own course.

Good realistic real world points. Although I disagree that rich guys are not nice guys. Money doesn't necessarily make you a bad person.
Ah, I am guessing from your writing style that you are Thai. Always good to hear from a fellow brother. Inter-thai? Would always be good to meet another 'inter.' And hopefully we aren't from different gangs.

5555 seem like we're all heading to the same direction after spent quite sometimes chasing all these dancers. Betcha we've probably seen each other faces before or even sat next to each other.
I went to Forte between Oct01-Apr02. Then moved to Orbit last April and hardly go back to Forte at all since I got hook on to the look of the girls here at Orbit.
How long and how often have you been to Orbit? Shall we meet up just to get to know each other? That goes to you to "Packripper". Where do you guys usually sit?

Well, your "drinking girl" points above are right on the money. I'm sure there are plenty of local things you still don't know about. ;) Just kidding.
But yeah, inter Thai just means international. Could be a Thai who grew up abroad (like myself), or one that just lived abroad for a long time. Usually getting the best of both worlds.
But yeah, happy to hang out. Although I don't think any of my friends have a falang in their social group. If you're drinking with us, no problema!
If any of the girls ask who the old falang guy is... I'll just tell them that you're my uncle's business partner that we got stuck with entertaining. Hehe.

If you have been to Orbit lately says last couple weeks, you might see a same group of people taken your place next to the entrance to the larger bar. Yup next to the bridge. That's us. We usually get called by the DJ by the name "SamaKai". You may heard. I'm the tall guy and my friend "Mac" is the chubby one wearing huge numbers of bracelet with piercing under his lower lip.
We have moved from the right side of the entrance access to the smaller bar about couple weeks ago. Just changing the scene and try to get to know other dancers (if you have read my previous post we do have the same strategy now)
Let's meet. When do you plan to go to Orbit again? For us may be tonite.
