BOOZE REOPENED.
Went to Booze last night for the grand reopening. actually they reopened on the 1st but this was the official party.
same good peeps, young crowd, expensive parking, lot of potential for those of you that can speak the local lingo.....

Went to Booze last night, good crowd. They charged 100 baht at the door because Endorphine, a popular band with the young folks, was playing. Not a bad club but hard to find. Checked out several other clubs in the area like Ashleys and they weren't very busy.

Did you checkout Bombay Bar (right next door to Ashley's). Havent been for a while but it is usually packed much like Booze. I guess once RCA really takes off thonglor is going to suffer big time. Might even be able to get in Santikas at the weekend.

bombay, ashleys, jam bar, brit club...
so sad... its full but not packed... also the band at ashleys is still the same old kids churning out the thai tunes... with a great rendition of Limp's Rollin song...
ash's still has the great 2 bottles of 100 pipers for 550 baht though...
still not a bad place even on a off night... will allow for a bit more expermintation if you will...

Abrak, yes I did and both those clubs were pretty empty. This was a tuesday mind you. There was this other club my friend took me to where the bathroom was all the way up 4 flights of stairs. I don't remember the name but it was a Thai name and my thai is really bad. That place was pretty dead as well.
We asked the waiter why it was empty because it was really popular once. He said it was because of some club down the street. We walked to that club. Forgot the name of this club too but it was in a building and up an elevator to the 4th floor I believe. That place was dead too.

Escudo its called... reopened with silent fanfare this past week... havent been but heard that it had indeed reopened.
FYI RCA and I would say BED would be your best ticket that early in the week. Ashley's in its prime was good on wed and thurs. but tues or monday is pushing it...

Can anybody update me on Thong Lo now? Is Booze still the place to go (Sat urday night) ? What about the rest (Escudo, Zantika, Song Salung, etc.)
Also is there a pool bar nearby? Fancy making a night of it up there.
Any info much appreciated.
