Well glad to hear things are going well for you two lovebirds. I know who she is as you pointed her out to me the last time I was there. You might not remember as you were wasted---mao maak maak.
Word is that Orbit is getting 60 new dancers on the first of the month. Problem is that I hear most of them are ugly and cannot dance. I will be the judge of that.
I will be back very soon as my trip keeps moving closer and closer. I wil let you know the exact date so maybe we can meet up. I know a spot......

Were you there last night? My friends and I got there not long after 8pm and stayed until closing... ohhh my aching liver!!! Model show was ok, but a bit of a letdown- Sarah was the only real hottie and I didn' think Odette was so wonderful, though she was clearly a crowd favorite. Also with their costumes in all black it was difficult to tell them apart. 'Balloon' and 'Aom' were no-shows, unfortunately.

The stupid farang may have been one of a couple of newbies from Hong Kong whom I met outside. A friend of mine was waiting for me and when I arrived he introduced me to the two guys- they had been told about Orbit by the concierge at their hotel so came down only to be turned away because they weren't a member- I invited them in and they went a bit nuts. One of the guys was taking a hard run at a girl and I even saw him flash some 1000s at one point, so it might have been him!
Was certainly not me as I'm more stealthy in my tactics... and had a girl waiting back home so my actions were limited anyway.
I was sitting in the back of the bar, the bottom of the 8-shape where it has been cut off and flattened if that makes any sense. I'd be the youngest guy of the 4 farang that were there. How bout you?
Yeah too bad about the model show- the one I really wanted to see was Paula, who also wasn't there. Got some very nice pics though- my sales chick had told me it was ok as it was a special night, so I snapped off a lot of the show and a few of the girls.

A question for you Orbit veterans... Do you remember a young gal called Cream? She was 16 when Orbit first opened and I remember when the crackdown first started and Orbit got hit one night (it was back open the next day) she had to be escorted out the back door. The other dancers told me her mom dropped her off every day and waited in the changing room to pick her up once she was done.
What a cutie I tell ya... I got her phone number for a younger friend of mine but he couldn't speak any Thai and she couldn't speak any English so that never went anyway.
Then suddenly she was gone. Don't suppose anyone has an idea of where she went?

Sorry, I fell offline for awhile back here in the States. I leave on Wednesday from LA to head back to Bangkok for 8 weeks. I will spend sometime in Orbit sitting in my saved seat which has a plaque with my name on it. I will probably make my first appearance on Friday night of this week. See you then.
Singlolo.....you cannot worry about that type of stuff. You know as well as I am that there is one of them in there every night. I stopped going there for awhile because I could not handle it. What I do not know does not hurt me. Anyway, you know who she went home with. Believe me mate and I know, dating a girl from a dance club like that is tough business. I will hope to see you this weekend.

A couple of times my Thai buddy and I went in there for dinner with her and he helped her with her homework right there at the table. I do not think she is working right now.

Damn, really she was back? Would have loved to say hi to her... As she was one of the original gals I would chat with. The only girl left in Orbit who I know from when I first joined is Ying.
Yeah Cream was young... not illegal in Thailand but too young to ever consider anything with- what would we talk about, cartoons? :-D My friend was 21 at the time, though, and looked like David Beckham, so I thought he had a chance... that was until they wound up being totally unable to communicate. Also (perhaps more importantly) his budget was enough for one coke per evening for himself....
Agree with the comments regarding dating a chick in there- it can be difficult to keep one's emotions in line. I wound up totally breaking off with a girl I was dating once I felt like I cared too much for her- had to go completely cold turkey, though. It has been a good 18 months already, though, and she still asks me for cash from time to time... Oops!!! =)
