Well, I do not think just she having a bf should be reason enough to not pursue.
All GFs I had in the past had BFs when I met them. Afterall, I always expect a charming beautiful girl to have a bf. If not, then there must be something wrong going on: either she is lying or she is a freak. Statistically the chances of you bumping into her between BFs is very slim.
The issue is not she having a BF or not. But how she reacts to your advances. And how much she lies to you. Most normal girls do not like being without a BF. Most of the time they pick the new one before they get rid of the old one.

Was that guy's first time to go out in Thailand... he apparently hasn't even been to a go-go before. He part-owns a club in HK which I'll check out next month, so that's the basis for his cash flashing.
I know the feeling though... I felt the same way when I was dating one of those gals- that's why I cut it off as it was getting too crazy. Not possible to get into some sort of bidding war when girls are getting 10,000 baht tips and whatnot.
