It's good place to pick up the girls if you have the right attitude (for them).Many rich,bored girls that their husbant staying elsewhere in Farangset or bussiness trip starting their nights there,if you lucky you will finish in her condo..Freelancers wont go for 500 bath,nor for 1000..Another good reason to go there is a local exp chit-chat,just open your eyes and ears..

Now that I've spent all day looking at the Q-Bar galleries, I think I may have to pop in there this weekend and see if it's as bad as Manuel, Smegs and Griff have said recently.

Have been there again several times in the last weeks. Some good nights but too often bad nights. But OK, made the choice (or actualy my GF) myself to go there. Can not blame anybody. Just wish that a few less freelancers and obnoxious farang came. Atmosphere is a bit too busy with those groups outnumbering the previous guests of Q-bar. Low season will be there soon and things might get a bit better, w'll see.

SetLaew, might see you tonite. The ladies are to the beauty salon. Guess that we might end up there again. Was there on Thursday. The best night in Q bar since months. Not too crowded and a happy, nice crowd. Even the manager was in such a good mood about it that he offered me a drink when I answered a question correct. A tourist did not want too discuss anything with him other than the (low) amount of girls in the bar... When he was asked in return how many he brought he was in a short silence.... I jumped in the conversation and said 'at least I brought 3!!'... and earned my drink. The other farang moved away from me and went into hiding in the back. Saw him leaving at 2 AM......alone....poor guy!

Well, didn't make it to Q-Bar, I got quite close though, having a few quick drinks at Cheap Charlie's on Friday night around midnight, but ended up checking out another old haunt, Lucifer, instead.. Which turned out to be a fairly good move 
Maybe later this week.. Any particular style of music that they play on Thursdays?

Made it to Q-Bar this weekend, on Friday night. It was quite packed, I was pretty well hammered especially after the strong gin tonics there so can't say much about the quality and quantity of women, all I know is that I ended up doing a repeat of one of my acquaintances from the femmes gallery. Mmm. Had a night that even butznutz would be proud of.

I'm definitely impressed with the Q Bar ladies on their website.
I was planning on my 3rd trip to LOS this april and had planned on hitting Q Bar, CM2, and some other discos I missed on previous trips. However, with the gov't crackdown on "entertainment" venues and new hours of operation going into effect this March 1st (discos having to close at 12pm), I can't help but wonder the fate of Q Bar. I'm sure it just starts to get going about midnite!
Is it possible for them to remain profitable and remain open if only operating 3 hrs a night?
I would hate to postpone my trip pending the result of the new operating hours under Thaksin's social order campaign.

No. If they are really made to close at midnight, it's bye-bye Q Bar, or at least a costly and time-consuming relocation to one of the zones. Speaking of relocation, can't help but think the Forte people knew this was going to happen when they relocated to RCA.

I thought this about Voodoo et al in Nana. Whenever I have been in these bars over the last few months they have been spectacularly empty!
Not sure if this is a genuine attempt by the owners to run the places down based on this new regulation or merely in-house strife!
