Ladies night at Mystique was honored with a visit from our illustrious company last night. When we arrived at 23.15 the main floor was already packed. The DJ was playing quite pleasing progressive (not disco or funk as mentioned on the site) house. Towards closing time even quite trancey, reminding of Danny Howells in his golden days. Transitions where seamless and there were plenty of hand-raising staccato’s. The music being paramount why Mystique stays my number one club in Bangkok. The interior and the 2am closing time being right up there was well.
By midnight the second (hip hop) floor was pleasantly packed as well and there was more then a healthy ratio of jaw-dropping talent present. If you were there last night and you heard seal noises, that was me pointing out an angel to AmorsPerros. Not really subtle, but efficient nonetheless. As mentioned before, quite a few Indian girls present as well, if that is your taste.
A carpet licking acquaintance of us pointed out quite a bit of fashion models last night as well. Thai Lesbian friends facilitate making contact exponentially, I can tell you that. Although there were quite a bit of blokes present as well, the overall atmosphere was cordial. I am not exactly Pee Wee Herman, but the high amount of well-built guys prompted me to look twice before having a chat with a girl. But, despite their posture, most of these guys turned out to be good sports who were eager for a chat about their catch of the night.
Quite exceptionally, our bottle was not empty when we left for the pussy parade on Sukhumvit last night. Don’t know how that happened.

I too was at Mystique last night. I share the same views on the music and somewhat on the girls as Hyper does. With that said, however, this place sucks. Too many meat head farangs looking to find a place to call home since they failed in the States. I am from the States, but this club typifies the term ugly American and cheesy European for that matter.
I went last nighty against my will because my friend's girlfriend was in from Phuket last night. It amazes me how many dumb people came up to her last night and said "How much?" She kept laughing about it but I was embarassed as they were typically from the States.

Whether guys like you and me who can look beyond that like it or not, that’s the way it is. You might was well take the girl to CM2 and get upset if somebody pinches her ass.
I have to agree with you about the fact that there were to many guys. But I say that bout any place where I am not alone.

I have to agree with Somnomna on Mystique. Normally too many meat head farangs for me. I have still have given this place many chances, but always seem to move on to something else as the night progresses. I will still give it a stop by to see what is in there.

to many people think they found the "life in Thailand" and doing something they call are here. They are to POSH for qbar (this year) so they left this place for M and BED. Both qbar and M is not worste the +500 they charge for entrance. I f***ed the dj girl friend so I can never go back anyway.  See you at Susy Wongs sunday.

I have to agree with Hyper on that one. You are in a very highly sexually oriented country. Why do you think I'm going?  I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure you (Somnomna) have interest in sex, or why else would you be a member of this forum? Possibly not, but I doubt it.
So would you get upset if a Thai guy did that to a girl? Same thing, but you are the tresspasser on their home land?
Regarding the meathead farangs, this could be true but who am I to say. I've never been here before.

I wonder about the following though: if you, Somnomna and me would be there on the same night (and we don’t know each other) would you consider me one of those meatheads? Would I categorize you as one? I guess I am a meathead farang in the eyes of another meathead farang.
Good music when going out is paramount for me and I have found almost no venues in Bangkok that satisfy my needs (house and trance). In the land if the Blind, One Eye is king, so Mystique, and occasionally Narcissus it is for me.
If I go to Thai places with little farangs (which I do as much as I go to Q, Bed or mystique), I have to deal with the same 5 hip hop songs or Thai Rock a whole night - which has about the same effect on me as 2 consecutive bowls of Tom Yang Koong.
Next time you are at Mystique, ignore the farangs, come sit at my table and let’s talk stunning women, poetry and Asian female feet while sipping White Russians. It’s on me.
