I have been going to Orbit for over a Year and I became a member recently.
For the last year I have spend 2 to 3 Nights a week in this place and I love it. The Place is neat, the band is great and God the girls are stunning. I did have a crush on few of them went to bed with a couple and always enjoyed their Dancing and Smiling.
The reason I am writing this short message is that I am having more and more trouble with the locals in Orbit.
Believe it or not for the last 3 Times I was there, I had troubles 2 times with some bunch of Thai Guys. Hopefully I am not the kind of guy looking for trouble and since I am a member and since most of the girls/Mamasan and staff do know me I never got into any trouble but I am starting to believe that Thai guys are kind of xenophobic.
The last time I had trouble with some guy I even did not understand what was happening. I was sitting next to the bar with 2 friends of mine (Close to the stair, in front of the Stage). There was 3 Thai guys sitting at the bar drinking and no place left to sit down. “Mai pen rai” me and my friend are more into dancing and having fun than sitting and drinking booze all night long so we hanged around drinking Corona's and sipping Black Coke. Problem is that you need sometimes to put your bottle down to the ground to take care of the sexy dancer who is willing to whisper in your ear or to get into some dancing with you. Well I put my beer on the counter a couple of time without noticing anything. After a while 3 dancers were dancing in front of me and one did kiss me (French kissing actually) for a 2 USD tip. Well what happened next is beyond my world. One of the Thai guy just crashed is glass on the Bar and went right in front of pointing my face with a finger !!
As I did not pay attention neither said a word (I turned my back and started talking with my friend). Then a dancer I do know walked on the bar to get close to me and did grab me with her two arms around my neck.
The Thai guys were having heavy discussion with the staff and did not looked very happy. One of the Staff came to me and asked me to move to another part of the Club. I told her that I would not move unless I feel like moving and that as a member I should deserve a better service. Benz (For those who know this Mamasan) came to talk with the Thai guys, told me not to panic then convince the guys to leave the place (anyway it was 1.45). As I was talking with Benz and an other staff one of the Thai guys (The one that crashed its glass) came back, get close to me and told me in a pretty good English ("Watch your back"). Benz asked me to stay inside the club did go out then came back 15 minutes later (which I spent with 2 dancers since the club was now closing) and told me that the guys did leave and that it was safe for me to go and she said, "Seth, better not come back for a couple of days, I know those guys they are regular, they were drunk but they don’t like farang and they don’t like that you are too close to some dancers".
Well I have avoided the place for 3/4 days as I don’t want to get into stupid trouble but this incident is becoming an habit in those so called "Hi end" Clubs.
As I happen to have some business with the Owner (Unrelated business actually) I will give him a shot at this story and ask him what does he think about this.

Hmmm 2 incidents out of three occasions - maybe they don't mind falangs in general, but rather they dislike you personally...

I am regular of both Orbit and Forte and close to many of the staff in both places.
Only once had a problem with one guy at one of these locations -long ago- and I think it had nothing to do with me being a farang: The place was closing and I had been talking to a dancer for a really really long time -basically had monopolized her for about 2 hours. A guy came and touched my back making me turn around. As I looked to him he said "you are talking to my girlfriend" - I replied by asking him what his name was. He told me and then I said "If that is your name, then she is not your girlfriend" and turned around to continue talking to her -I said this because I knew the name of the actual boyfriend. This upset him, but as staff had noticed from the onset that problem was brewing by the body language of our exchange and had moved closer, they took him outside. I guess the poor guy wanted to talk to the girl, had waited way too long and got frustrated. He tried to make a fun comment and I replied in a way he didn't like/expect. The next time he saw me he came to apologize saying that he was drunk - I did the same saying that I didn't intend to offend him. And we smiled big to each other and shook hands.
I know some good customers at these places that do not like farangs. But that is just a couple of guys. As I frequent the places so often, I have many local regulars as next-seat drinking buddies. In general, most, I find are very friendly. Specially the regulars (except the couple I refferred above). Whenever -very seldomly- I get an ugly look from a local, often is a from a young guy that is not a real good regular customer.

You add jealousy and alcohol and what happened is not surprising. A drunk Thai guy can be very very stupid, you were lucky to avoid the fight.
In places with locals customers better avoid these displays of affection, they don't like it. Why Thai customers are not welcome in Nana, Soi Cowboy...etc ? Because if they saw what the farangs are doing there, they would go crazy. "

Good point Marco. One Sunday afternoon I had nothing better to do and read all 65 pages of this thread. First a special thanks for Smegs for deleting most of his posts in this thread you bastard.
Second, you will see some posts from Thai's who spend a lot of their paychecks in these clubs trying to date the girls only to get the brush off.
Take 2, you walk in and start Frenching one of the dancers, maybe one that this guy has been spending his hard earned paycheck on to try to date and now for good measure mix the above with a good dose of alcohol. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Probably the best advice would be to be polite inside the club and hook-up afterwards. Better a lover than fighter.
