Been to LOS about 12 times never encountered any real problems at all. Biggest Instigators of problems that ive noticed are Yanks, Brits, Germans and Italians. Especially the yanks. They are the biggest hondo's out of anyone, followed very closely by the brits and the Germans and IT'S are arrogant and rude. But thats not to say that they are all bad. Ive met some great guys from those countrys. I dont know why JimmyD has got aussies on top of the list.

Atypical: If you have to defend yourself agains more than one guy I agree; strikes and kicks can be more effective. If you have one hooligan and you can end a fight by a well leveraged arm twist or some efficient wrist manipulations or a standing rear naked choke or "sleeper hold" or a standing guilloutine choke then go for it..there is less chance of blood flowing. Tumbling on the ground is not needed.

...finish a fight decisively in no more than 3 seconds; no bad idea to get a lesson in self defence and learn some efficient throws, arm locks, chokes or other joint manipulations that will force your opponent into quick submission without the need for long and wild punching and kicking.

Most "Yanks" I mix with in BKK are so damn awestruck they're speechless, on best behavior, spending their holidays enjoying, not destroying.
