Tastes change over time sure. As you stay here you discover more places and some people like to go to bars that have more locals. Thats all cool. You can't deny the success of Q and Bed tho even if you call it a wankerfest. Back to Glow - on the Nakadia party I felt there were clicques and that was emphasised by the fact that it was not busy. So the clicques occupied most of the space. That I wasn't in. So I left.

Well that is why I like Glow. Most of the people going there are not tourists, and you get to know the people that pass through there.
Tastes do change. Hanging around the Farang Holiday goer toting around his hot FL, thinking he is Hugh Hefner, gets old after a while. Especially if you know the Ho he is with, and all the other guys you have seen her with.
Another nice thing about Glow is that it stays open till 2am, and sometimes later.
Sure Bed and Q are successful, no doubt. So are many other things in life. It does not neccessarily mean they are good, or one needs to partake. Just look at McDonald's Hamburgers. Successful, but not the best quality.

Whatever happened to the good old days of this forum. I have not posted in quite somtime and the reason being is that the quality of posts have declined and the focus has shifted to god only knows what. I remember a time when you were not allowed to promote on the forum, any club for that matter. We were soley responsible for offering personal experience information. Now that a couple of guys from this forum opened a pub all of the rules change. The fact of the matter is that Glow is not a good club/pub/whatever.
Not many people that I know, like to go to a club/pub and have it empty everytime they pass through. As it relates to the professional crowd, the hotel bars have this market tied up for obvious reasons. I am amazed that this thread has gone on so long similar to threads for Orbit, Eden, Carribean, etc... Does this place compare or is it the fact that we bend the rules for the member owners? Does this place make a good drink? Who cares, buy a bottle and make your own drink.
I am tired of all the useless information that passes on this place. I am also tired of hearing about Q and Bed. I cannot stand these places, but I do not pass judgement on those that go. There is place in Bangkok for just about every taste. Obviously there is place on this forum for every taste.
I only wish that we could get back to a more informative approach to this thing. As I stated, I have not posted for quite somtime and mainly the reason being is rellevancy, plus the fact that there are so many people on this forum that have too much time on their hands. They are sitting by waiting to pounce on someone's thread. I also see new guys getting treated like shit because they do not know the proper way to thread their first time or repeat something one of us know-it-all veterans have said.
My original point is that I see so much useles information passing about Glow and there really is no need for it. The place is boring, but if you want to go have at it as well as anywhere else in Bangkok for that matter.

Somnomna nice to hear from you.
Just a quick word on Bed which in my book does not deserve to always be named next to Qbar.
There is some good night out in Bed. Monday night is great music, not too many people, not too few and it is always new faces. I reckon most people only go out on week ends and I guess bed sucks as much as Qbar on week end. But that is a common thing to get all the wankers out on week end. They are the same people who think the best party of the year are Christmas and New Year.
