Make sure the cops aren't around when you try to grease the "bouncer," or you're just going to be some silly guy with money in his hand turned down by a 200 Baht a day door guy. Door guys are one group I've never tipped here. It's not like the US. Here they really don't have much control over anything. More important to tip the valets I think.

I think nowadays with the frequent and randomly unannouced raids by police to test for drugs and ID checks, many establishments don't even want to risk letting in someone under age and having to pay for the fine afterwards.
What PackR said certainly holds true that the door guys don't have much of an influence. Most of them are in fact police officers themselves earning some money on the side.

The legal age is 20, I had to experience this once in RCA when one of the BGs forgot her ID.
The BGs located the chief of security of the club and gave him some sexy smiles. He talked on the radio to the security guard at the door and we were waved in. Good luck!

There is not much chance of bribing a bouncer at CM2 because of the large number of staff on duty at the door including a female supervisor who seems to have the last say. She let me in once without ID but told me next time I must bring copy of passport. I am 50 by the way so it is nothing to do with being under age.
