Is anyone familiar with the club called Sophia listed under the Soi Japan link? I'm wondering if the girls there can be bar fined and taken out or if they're just doing the hostess thing.

It's in Japanese.... which I read by the way... but it doesn't go into specifics. Nice quality girls there caught my eye and was going to try it out when I get back to LOS in a few weeks. My assumption is that it's probably like any other club.... pick a girl/pay the fine/take the girl. But since it caters to Japanese, it might be like the clubs in Tokyo where they just tease you for a while and send you on your way.

My understanding is that most of the clubs catering for Japanese visitors are a few soi's up from Patpong.
I havn't tried them myself but I was told that they differ from the farang hang-outs in that they are more quiet and formal. And more expensive by some serious order.

Thanks Dave. Yeah, that's my understanding as well and have heard of these clubs but never tried them out. From what I've heard though and by looking at some of the lady menus on the soi-japan websites, they have some real stunners and maybe worth a shot. By the way, club sophia charges 150 baht for table charge, 100 baht for drinks and 150 for lady drinks. VIP rooms are 400 baht for all night. Seems reasonable to me.... Won't waist my time if it's strictly a hostess deal but most things are probably negotiable. Hoping someone might have a line on whether the girls are finable and the average ST/LT they want. If nobody knows, I'll go check it out in a few weeks and report. Might be a good find. My edge might be that I speak Japanese fluently (lived there for many years) and all the girls speak Japanese. Having a Western Farang speak Japanese seems to turn them on.... will see.

Again its what I hear rather than experienced but I think the clubs are more geared to entertainment within them and have private rooms where you take the girls rather than BF them.
Maybe other brothers can help. I would be interested in your post. Can you check out the " speaking English" question. I don't speak Japanese but I heard they have some of the best lookers in those clubs.

many of these clubs are on Soi Thanya which is up a few sois from Patpong. You will not be able to get into them if you are not Japanese, even if you speak Japanese, or even if you are Thai. There are others sprinkled around town, but don't waste your time trying to get in.

Went to one of the clubs in Soi Thaniya. It was Pretty Dolls. We were surpised that the price was reasonable. For 600B we had a girl sit with us, we had a whisky (Red label) coke which was refillable and the lady had a drink. We were surprised to find out that the bar fine was only 500B.

Thanks bkkz. Sounds like similar pricing to the ohter club I noted. I'll give the clubs a try and see how I do and give a full report. Perhaps this is a new hunting ground for those seemingly more and more rare beauties.
