Had a chance to go to a few club last week, try to give a short synopsis on each one, Violin is located in Ekkamai, on the same side as Piano. Entrance is hidden, so watch the sign carefully. The club's decor and the space design is tasteful. The quality of the girl is on par with the girl in Piano, as I would give most of the girl from 6-8.5. There is a live band and dancer will start their show about 10 pm. The club membership started at 20K I got 6 bottle of swing and Lady drink (forget how many) with the membership. Did not take any girl out, but the policy is similar to other club ( 10 drinks ) This might not be my first choice of G-club, but it does offer an attractive alternative.

3rd floor Modeling Lobby at the Poseidon they have a 3 piece string esemble dressed in tuxes playing classical music while the mamasan brings girls for you to approve or send back. Definitely a surreal experience that should be tried at least once.

Umm, come to think of it I have not take a PR out in a long time. Nowaday, just like to hang out in the club with friend and having a drink. These club are great way to talk about business and establish contact in Asia.

I dropped into Violin Club about 12:30am a few weeks ago to see a girl who was supposed to be working there (of course I am in love with her 5555). I had no idea about the policies of entries, cost, etc. Anyway, the lady at the entry said "are you a member?" I didn't know whether it was 'members only' so I lied and said I was supposed to meet a business associate who is a member there, could I see if he was there?
EntryLady accompanied me in, I looked around and asked if I could wait for him. No prob. Ordered a beer (300 baht). EntryLady came back 15 mins later and told me politely that if I wanted to talk to or take a lady, no problem, just talk to her.
I liked the place, good band, good dancers, the only negative is the high cost, I think.
I found 'my girl', talked to her for a little while, in my discussions with 'my girl', I was told by a guy who said he was co-owner of the club how much the barfine for 'my girl' was - he said he would give me the "member price".
Anyway, my questions are:
- is Violin a members only club, or can anyone go in?
- how is pricing for drinks and barfines different for members and non-members?

I believe Violin work like most club, in that you do not have to be a member to go in. The drink price for Non-member is 300 bahts and member is 240 bahts ( 20% off) The Barfine is 10 drinks, which will be 3000 bahts for non-member and 2400 bahts for member.
I still have 5 bottle of Swings left and bunch of Lady drink left in my membership. Hope to catch you in May in bkk and buy you a drink for all the fun I had reading your FR. Thanks

I spent a few hours at Violin the other night. Not much new since the last post in March. Some of the PR girls have moved over from Orbit (same owner), but the place remains a mid-range Ekami hangout which might be ok for those in the area. I was there during peak hours on a Sat night, and there were not many customers. There were about a dozen girls free to talk, plus another ten or so dancers.
You can just walk in. No members policy.
The flip side of the fact that this may not be a "hot spot" is that the girls who are there are eager to please. I also liked the fact that you can bring the dancers over to your table, unlike Orbit and some other places. The dancers, about ten of them, are mostly from Issan and looked sexy in there tank tops and such.
All in all, not a stunning place, but worth a visit if in the area. Santika is just down the street, so it is just a short walk to there.
