My TG made a unannounced visit the other day at 9:30pm while I was taking a nap. I was suppose to meet her at gulivers at 10:30 and need some recovery time after a wild day. So, half awake I get dressed as she hands me a beer chang from the frig. and a shot of thai whisky we had been drinking the previous night. After a few dry heaves after downing the Thai whisky chased with chang, we're off. We take a taxi and end up at a disco on a soi off sukumvit around soi 11 area I'd estimate (wasn't really paying attention). This disco looked like a white barrel on it's side propped up by stilts. Inside, was a younger crowd and a european DJ spun trance. There was also an upstairs that overlooked the main lounge area. More of a place to chill not dance, as noone was dancing. Also, there was a new brittish bar that opened up right up the street, where a band on a stage behind the bartender. Can anyone help identify this club?

He _is_ good, but then again, "white barrel on its side propped up by stilts" is a description that fits very few bars around BKK (or the rest of the world for that matter).
Great place, used to be really happening with a lot of dancing going on as well. Then the pre-APEC crackdown with its strange closing times and dancing bans imposed on clubs with a restaurant license (Bed and QBar, for example) slowed things down and they haven't really picked up since then, I guess.

They eased up on the ban after APEC, as far as I know dancing is allowed in Q-Bar and Bed these days.
I'll take that copy of footloose anyway, though.

I was at bed about 2 weeks ago. They still had the sign out front that said No Dancing.
