I heard of a new bar in the Sathorn area. Met bar is in the new metropolitan bangkok hotel. Anyone been there and any reviews?

Met Bar is located in The Metropolitan Hotel on Sathorn. It has been open for about 6 months. It is located in what used to be the YWCA. It is a sister hotel of The Metropolitan in London - the Met Bar in London is certainly one of the most exclusive bars in town frequented by 100s of celebs.
I have only been one time and have little positive to say about the place. It is bascially an upmarket bar along the lines of Club 87 or Q bar. It is extremely farangified -with quite a lot farang women. Staff are predominantly gay. Drinks are expensive. It is effectively a hotel bar. At least as many guys as gals in the bar when I went. For me the location sucks.
Hmmmm... perhaps not a bad place to take your farang wife or GF. Suspect it might occasionally provide a good party.
I am sure someone can provide a more helpful and positive review.

Just back from Calvin Klein fashion show in MET. Not bad at all, many stunners and nice tunes. Remind me Club 87 at fridays long ago... Let say one more place to go when you boring of Sukhimvit soi 11 and 31.

Anyone reading this actually go to this place? I've got an open invitation to go there for a look...
Apparently, it's not open to non-members- one must be invited by current members. Is this right? If so then I imagine it'd be quite dead most days if people are being turned away at the door. The location isn't exactly wonderful.
Heard that there were some decent parties there every now and then, though.
